- Kasey Kahne has been released from Richard Petty Motorsports, effective immediately. Kahne will drive the 83 for Red Bull this weekend (though that is unofficial, it is expected to be announced as soon as everyone wakes up tomorrow morning.)
- Aric Almirola, who WAS going to drive the 83 at Martinsville, will drive Kahne's old car, the 9 for RPM Sunday.
- It is expected that Marcos Ambrose will move from his 2010 car - JTG/Daugherty Racing's 47 - to his 2011 car - the 9 at RPM, after this week and will be in the car at Talladega.
- Completing the driver-shuffle, Bobby Labonte will step into the 47 - HIS 2011 ride - at Talladega as well.
Crazy. It would be cool if the sponsor shuffle that is on tap for 2011 could happen early, too. Can't imagine Budweise is super-thrilled with Almirola and Ambrose for the rest of 2010, and with Brad Keselowski's 12 car being basically unsponsored (technically it's Verizon, though they can't BE on the car), they COULD in theory shuffle Bud to the 29, Shell Pennzoil to the 2 (which will be the 22 in 2011), and Miller Lite to the 12 which will be the 2 in 2011). That's got to be too complicated to happen, though, especially with Kevin Harvick still in the thick of the championship.

The way I look at it, you've got Mayweather and Tszyu at the top, with Harris and Gatti right below. I'd love to see Mayweather and Tszyu take on Harris and Gatti (any which way) and then fight each other.
