The only way this makes sense is if the new Nets ownership is going to go ahead, pull the plug, and deconstruct the team. That means the sometimes-rumoed Kidd to Golden State rumors could pop up again. At least the picks are likely lottery picks...
What's disturbing about Bowling for Columbine and Fahrenheit 9/11 is that both are classic propaganda. Events are shown out of order, suggesting conspiracy by confusing audiences about the sequence of events; events are shown out of context, edited to create an appearance differing from actual events; scenes of horror are intermixed with scenes of normalcy, suggesting all is horror; viewers are given no way of knowing what is fact, what is opinion, and what is made up. - Noted Warmonger Greg Easterbrook
Nuggets get Kenyon Martin. Nets get three first-round draft picks.
No sir. Don't like this deal. Should've gotten Nenę.
Agreed. Nene is showing he's a player AND he's cap-efficient for the next two years.
That's a NICE little team Kiki Vandeweghe is putting together out in Denver. So assuming Denver wins 45 or so games for the next few years, they just pulled one over on the Nets by hanging onto both Nene AND Camby in this deal.

Playoff teams don't get lottery picks. The Nuggets were a playoff team and aren't going anywhere, unless Carmelo's being a year older and adding an All-Star forward while losing no one somehow makes a team worse.

My bad. That could be three potential number one OVERALL picks, then.

Depends on the level of protection those picks have. If they wait to exercise the options on them a few years from now, maybe a #1 isn't out of the realm of possibility.
Immediate future for NJ though, looks bad. Think Kidd is kicking himself for not going to play with Duncan when he had the chance?

Well, I'm all for it. After today, the only threats to the Pacers in the Eastern Conference are the Pistons and the Heat. And I still think we can take both of them, too.

here is a breakdown of the picks - Clippers, Sixers & Nuggets

They've gotta go with Brooklyn - it would ensure a rabid following amongst Brooklynites, and to call them the New York Nets would doom them to forever being "that other New York team". Plus, (and maybe this is just the former Brooklynite in me)...
