So he and the Chargers are going through a divorce. If we can get him, what would we expect from him this year? Is he this year's Hardy Nickerson, or does he still have it?

According to John Clayton, the top 4 teams interested in him are (in no particular order) Kansas City, Detroit, Tampa Bay, and Green Bay.

My money would be on Tampa picking him up: It gives him the best shot of getting a ring, and after spending most (if not all) of his life in warm climates, that eliminates Detroit, Green Bay and KC.

I'll pay $49.95 for the Execute Bin Laden PPV. And I'll buy one of the lottery tickets at 10 bucks a pop to be the executioner.

With a depleted linebacker corps.... the rams could use him in the middle. Big time. Just dont think they have the money... but you never know.

I think he still has it.... looked good to me last season. But things change from season to season.

He might head to KC just to stick to the Bolts, or if he REALLY wants to get back at 'em, he'll play for less money as a Raider. Bucs make the most sense from a winning issue tho.

I'm not certain of the Bucs current cap number, but to me they would be better off spending cap dollars on offense, maybe on a RB to replace Pittman. After re-sighning Quarles and also having the NFL defensive MVP in Derrick Brooks kinda makes an older possibly diminished veteran like Seau added for depth would be kinda excessive. As far as the other teams mentioned I think that KC would be the best fit for Seau and for KC who lack a standout on defense, and Seau knows the division well.

As an avid Chiefs fan, I couldn't agree with you more.

Doesn't Seau despise Oakland? Besides, he would look much better in a green and yellow jersey - maybe we can find him one that's electrically-heated.

Yeah! Say-Ow with a cheesehead. I just hope it would work out better than the Hardy Nickerson experiment.

I thought Seau was overrated all last season. Let's hope a move revitalizes him and lets him finish out his career on an up note.

He was awesome. Maybe he can do it all again... but I think he's going to be a disappointment unless he is surrounded by Pro-bowlers.

Remember Kevin Greene? When everyone was watching just one or two Steelers games his weaknesses weren't exposed. That's how often you guys have seen the Chargers... I think it's going to be just like when Greene went to SF.

We'll see. The guy is genuinely nice in person - I've seen him interacting with people at his restaurant before. I just don't think he's still as good as he used to be, and I can understand the Chargers making a move.

I'll miss him, but I'm going to be a little embarrassed if he keeps acting "fired-up" but can't produce next season.

This move was overdue. Seau has had injury issues the last couple of years, he's 34, and he has lost a step or two. I still think he can bring it, but the Chargers need to think about the future of their LB corps. That future is Donnie Edwards, Ben Leber, and Zeke Moreno.

Guru, Mountainman - Thanks for the comments. That's sort of what I was hoping to hear (local comments, not that he was washed up).
