I often wondered how the Giants could let go of a guy with so much potential, but the stories of his behavior off the field have led me to wonder why they kept him around so long.
Because he specialized in dropping passes on 3rd and 3 and then would show up his QB whenever the ball wasn't thrown to him to due to his inability to catch crucial passes.
Originally posted by StaggerLeeAPparently it was the old "he was dehydrated" story. Yeah, right.
Twice in the last two years, I had to be rushed to the ER for sever dehydration. The second time, last April, the ER Doc was adamant that I was about 6 hours away from death because of all the fluids I needed.
I kept apologizing to my brother and best friend because they both missed a day of work to sit with me in the ER. I kept saying that if I had been dying or bleeding, it would have "been worth their while." and I guess I underestimated how dangerous dehydration is because the ER doc said that having 3 bags of IV is a very serious thing and if I stayed home like I wanted to, nothing good would have happened. My blood sugar has spiked up to the high 400s as well because of the dehydration.

I'm in favor of anything that would get Flutie away from College Football. Maybe the Bears could use him to dropkick for the team. Little known fact about Flutie:
