The topic of discussion among many today following Jeff Hardy's appearance on the NWA TNA PPV event last night in Nashville, TN is his current status with WWE at this time.
It isn't known if Hardy has made a full commitment to TNA as of yet, but is currently scheduled to go to Orlando, FL tonight for the Impact! tapings that will air on Fox Sports Net this Friday. As previously stated, the ongoing policy in TNA regarding Impact! is to only allow those who have signed deals to make appearances on TV.
It should be noted that even if Hardy hasn't signed a deal with TNA yet, WWE's current opinion of him at this time is the same it was when he left. It is no secret that he left the company because he would not deal with a personal problem that they felt he had, but he disagreed. The only way Hardy would ever be brought back to WWE is if he showed them that he had addressed the problem. Sources close to Hardy continue to state that he still doesn't feel he even had a problem to begin with, so both sides aren't expected to do business anytime soon unless Hardy takes the initiative.

If that's true...
Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
...they didn't end up using him. Meltzer has Imapct taping spoilers up. No sign of Jeff on the card.
I think he do it with NWA to see if WWE have any interest in him. He force there hands and try to show "Da E" that he can cut it in the ring and is over his daemons for once and for all. He'd be good for either wrestling company - but I think Jeff will win and get his WWE career back sooner.
I ran, I ran so far away 'cos I want you to want me and I was angry when I met you, you stupid girl Can you spot Big Ron Atkinson?
Some people have said that Matt Hardy will become involved in Monday's title match, forcing Kane to forget about the title (at least for a bit) and focus on the Lita/pregnancy issue. Those same people also said that this may ultimately result in the return of Jeffy, so I was surprised to see him at TNA. My guess is that it was a one-shot gig to showcase that Jeffy can still bring it in the ring. He looked kinda tired by the end, but that may just be ring rust and a few bookings will take care of it. Say what you will about them and their inherent gayness, Jeffy and Matty were always an entertaining team to watch, one that DA E will welcome in a virtually non-existant tag division.
He didn't appear on the show this week, but I'm pretty sure I read something that said he'd be at the Impact! tapings next week, so we'll see how that goes...
Jeff Hardy was in such good shape on the PPV he could have passed for Mary Kate Olsen's little brother, with an offense that looked about as good. Not to mention the fact that he was so late getting to the show (credit 411/Torch) that they were scrambling to come up with a last minute plan in case he didn't show at all. I don't see anything in that behaviour that would make WWE stand up and say 'Hey, ya remember that guy we fired for not getting his dru---personal problems fixed up? Apparently he's in terrible shape and still as unreliable as ever...let's bring him back!'
Not to mention that Matt Hardy is now being reported as having serious knee injuries. The injury happened last Monday night, from what I'm reading everywhere. So if this is true, I don't see him getting involved in the main event on Monday. Why bother, if he's too injured to wrestle? Kane and Benoit have enough history from last month's PPV to do the match on their own.

I just can't see them not involving Matt in the match. Though 99% of us think the angle is retarded, the creative team has invested alot of time into this, and it just wouldn't make sense if Matt wasn't there to somehow get involved, and progress the storyline. As far as him being too injured to wrestle, that doesn't mea he still can't be part of the angle. Anyways, I know it's a shitty spot, but this really is Matt's highest profile fued. They are giving this alot of TV time, and it's the second most important storyline on the show. A few weeks ago we were all wondering why Matt wasn't getting enough exposure; right now he's getting a shot that alot of guys in the roster will never achieve. Hopefully, Matt can mask Lita's horrible acting, and carry the angle himself. This could be the breakout storyline Matt needs to take him to the next level.
Changing gears, I think that TNA is a PERFECT fit for Jeff, what with the lighter taping schedule, the lack of a house show circuit, the more lightweight-friendly booking and fanbase. Plus, as a former indy promoter, he could help build up an up-and-coming fed. Financially, he's probably doing okay, so the differential in terms of pay will likely be weighed less than the Quality of Life considerations.
I hope the boy sticks around on TNA, because he certainly isn't terribly needed in WWE...
This probably would have been really cool back when I was younger and before the internet. Now a days it seems kind of goofy and might fit better on Saturday mornings if it were edited more.
