Mordecai, Tyson Tomko, Hirohito, Eugene, Johnny Nitro.
This is the least distinguished bunch of ham and eggers to enter WWE since the class of 1995: Kama the Supreme Fighting Machine, Mantaur, Hakushi, Aldo Montoya, and Savio Vega.
WWE should bring the class of 1995 back and have them duke it out with the class of 2004.
That might be the worst pay per view of all time.
I'd watch it, though.
"Strong words. Strong words from a strange man." - Kent Brockman
Something tells me that even Eugene could win in a feud with Aldo "This is NOT a yellow jock strap" Montoya. And at least none of the guys you mentioned from 2004 think that they are part animal.

You do realize that we haven't seen even one of these guys in the ring yet, right? In fact, we haven't even seen two of them...

(edited by OlFuzzyBastard on 20.4.04 1237) ""[The word] liberal derives from the Latin 'liberalis' - of freedom, befitting the free. Synonyms are progressive, broad-minded, unprejudiced and generous; while antonyms include reactionary, narrow-minded, intolerant and stingy. Accordingly, a political liberal is an open-minded person who considers all the arguments before drawing conclusions. A conservative, on the other hand, clings to one position and sees no reason to entertain diverse viewpoints because he already has his mind made up. Are mainstream media 'liberal'? I certainly hope so." -~Forrest Wood~-

Kevin Fertig (Mordecai) is OK. He's like a less mobile Mark Jindrak.
Travis Tomko (Tyson Tomko) is horrible. He's been in developmental for probably 5 years. Victoria used to manage him in Memphis! He's like a less mobile and talented Test.
Kenzo Suzuki (Hirohito) is terrible. They tried to make him a star in World Japan and he flopped. He wrestled a match in NWATNA last year and it blew. He's like the Japanese Billy Gunn.
Nick Dinsmore (Eugene) is an AWESOME wrestler. Now I don't know how that'll translate to being a retard unless they make him one of those people with one exceptional talent.
John Hennigan (Johnny Nitro) is sooooo bad. He has some flippy flop moves but Bryan Alvarez of Figure Four Weekly called him the LEAST ready of all the OVW guys and that included Tomko, Fertig, Matt Morgan, etc. He's like the male Lita in the ring and that's why he hasn't wrestled yet.

I'm probably thinking they'd save this type of match for Survivor Series. However, I'd change a few of the opponents to serve as foils for the 2004 rogues:
Tyson Tomko vs. Damian Demento (for the beard factor alone)!
Eugene vs. Ralphus (I know Ralphus has never been in WWE, but I couldn't think of an old-school retard to counter Eugene)
Hirohito vs. Wally Yamaguchi (Ah, who can forget "CHOPPY CHOPPY YOUR PEEPEE!")
Mordecai vs. ???? (Sadly, the Undertaker would probably be feuding with someone higher on the card. Any suggestions?)
Johnny Nitro vs. ???? (A little help?)
A Survivor Series Match like this would probably rival the Gimmick Battle Royal as Greatest Wrestlecrap Match of all time. If only I could find those last two opponents!

Yeah, but he looks like a cross between Kin Corn Karn from the NES video game, Ming The Merciless and The chef in "Dumb and Dumber" whose heart Jim Carrey put in a doggie bag.

Is he the one that fought Saturn? I got more of a "Japanese Lex Luger" vibe from him. But still...not good.

We *have* seen Johnny Nitro in action. He's had a couple tag matches, teaming with his fellow TE winner. They had at least 1 match on both Heat & Velocity, IIRC.
Whatever happened to Tough Enough Matt, anyhow? If they thougt Johnny Nitro could contribute to the product (and I get a laught out him, anyway) why aren't they doing something with Matt?
Oh, and personally I think Tomko looks like a giant-sized version of the guy from Anthrax.

Matt Morgan? Back in OVW honing his skills the last I heard, although apparently those what matters still think he's got good potential.

And damnit if we can't condemn young wrestlers on the basis of a tiny number of short, low profile matches against random jobbers then whats the point in it all?

I think he is referring to Matt Cappotelli, who I thought was the guy with the most potential in that TE3 group...he has that intangible that I think Hennigan lacks, but that's my opinion

Am I the only person who hope this kid signs into the NFL and Roy Williams and Parcells get to let that comment stew for the next 7 months?
Originally posted by fuelinjectedYeah that was him. Japanese Lex Luger, I like that better. He uses a combo of Lex's three move and Goldberg's three moves.
Wait, I thought the Japanese Lex was Manabu Nakanishi, right down to the identical finishers. Don't tell me they cloned the big slug TWICE?

The summer of '96 where we got Freddie Joe Floyd, Who, Alex "The Pug" Porteau, The Goon, & T.L. Hopper all debuting at the same TV taping was much, much worse.
Originally posted by Tenken347Yeah, Cappotelli was the guy I was wondering about.
Oh, in that case I can be of little assistance. You know its because of stupid folks like me that the WWE try not to have 2 wrestlers with the same Christian name ;)

Yeah. He had a match on Sunday night's show with Dinsmore. The story in OVW is Dinsmore has to play the fool in WWE cause he pissed Johnny Ace off. He played chicken heel to Matt Morgan's awesome power face Sunday night, but I missed the end of the match, so I don't know how it turned out.
*WINK* I always liked Nakamura as a face, but he is just so, so good as a heel. This was the best episode of Smackdown in ages, letting the ringwork do the talking for them. Miz/Hardy was the best, but I really liked just about all the matches.
