The W - Movies & TV - In the words of Vince McMahon, ENTERPRISE is "DOUBLE G-DOUBLE O-DOUBLE N-DOUBLE E GONE!" This thread has 33 referrals leading to it
I know there are some trekkies and Enterprise fans on here, so perhaps this will be of some interest. Long story short, this will be the final season of the show, so at least the people that do enjoy it will get to see that much of it finished.
I can't honestly say I'm upset or affected by this. I tuned into this show for quite a bit and its really not that interesting. Scott Bakula's Archer is the most boring, dull, and quite frankly most annoying Trek Captain ever. He's just so touchy freaking feelly. Like Kirk or Picard, those are probably two guys I'd follow into deep space, and if I was a redshirt...I would give my life for them!
None of the other characters on this show were very interesting or compelling either. Hoshi, Travis, Trip all just seemed so flat to me. I kind liked Malcom Reed as the trigger happy soldier that likes to shoot first and ask questions later, but not much other than that.

Bah, I'm a Star Trek fan and I stopped watching Enterprise after the third or fourth episode.

Actually, I think it's a bit depressing. I stopped watching myself partway through the first season, but I came back for the third season and found it rather improved, mostly because they'd ditched Paramount's insane insistence on having everything wrapped up in an hour. And this season they finally kicked out the past-their-prime Berman/Braga team and brought on new writers, who have given the show a lot more life (and cleaned up a bunch of continuity problems, to boot). So I'm sorry the new team won't get a chance to continue their plans; for the first time since DS9 ended, I'm finding myself interested in what happens with Trek.
(Lest we forget, TNG was teh suck for its first two seasons as well ... )

It's a shame really, once all that Temporal Cold War crud got fixed up, the series was starting to become interesting. You know, doing what you would have expected a series set in that time to do....
When it started, I hated all the characters, now I've warmed up to pretty much all of them...
I've tried to watch it but UPN just kept killing it with time slots that conflicted with other shows I'd really rather watch. The storylines have finally come together and as a long time franchise fan I have to say that I am bummed that it's over. Hopefully "Enterprise" will at least go out on a strong note, as I like it more than "Voyager" which I got tired of by the end.
When the new ST show comes back in 5 years or so I hope that Berman and Bragga HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. I can't stress that enough. It's not so much that they suck it's more that their own opinions have been the basis for all writing for the last 15 years or so. They had little to do with DS9 which is why that show is different. But ever since Roddenbury died their view of the Federation hasn't changed. Then there is their set in stone casting rules. Please no matter over-siliconed too tight uniform wearing officer who isn't really in the chain of command. Actually let the women act like officers instead of being there for whack material for 13 year olds.
