I'm not good at reviews so I'll just say that this was the best Impact in years. The opening segment was too nostalgic for me as Dreamer tells the same story about being on the road back in 1997 before ECW's first PPV ever. Ec3 is freaking gold man when one fan tied to chant you can't wrestle he shouted I wrestle excellently over him. He and Spud are great together as Spud is like a twerpy 80's manager aka Jimmy Hart. Dreamer and Bully vs Rhino and EC3 was a fun little seven minute tag match with EC3 pulling Dreamer's tights to pick up the win. Really enjoyed the eight man X division title match. When was the last time a X division match got sixteen minutes on Impact? Guessing never. Lots of great spots with the a Wolves, Sanana, Aries and Crazy Steve was Crazzy and the silly string thing got quite the pop. The action between Sanada and Aries was really good and they have great chemistry. Wasn't as good as last week but the action between them was solid. Like Storm as Sanada's devil on the shoulder and tormentor. Looking forward to what happens next week when Muta shows up. Roode and EY vs King and MVP was fine. I was a bit surprised that MVP returned so soon, he didn't look to be moving very well. Strange that Brittany's first match with Madison was a falls count anywhere match. The match was really solid but the crowd was not cooperative. Hardy vs Lashley was very good with a Hardy taking some insane bumps including a swanton bomb on the steps, just nutty. Lashley went over clean and continues to be booked as a beast and TNA's first strong heel champ. The show closing angle with Dixie was what it is with Dixie escaping again and EC3 taking a bump through the table. They've done well in building til when Dixie goes through the table. Again excellent show tonight. The company is starting to put together some shows and becoming watchable again.

Kinda wish I'd decided to watch tonight after all ... I skipped it to watch more anime, since all my good shows come out around the weekend. Good to hear that the X Division is getting more attention again, and a Falls Count Anywhere Knockouts match? That's a new one on me.

Caught the last half hour. Hardy/Lashley was better than I expected it to be. It is a bit of a shame Jeff Hardy is using up his prime wrestling and dying like a freak where almost nobody is paying attention. He has been really good lately. Lashley did what he needed to do, which mostly consisted of letting Hardy bounce off him but he was game and it was good. I was shocked they ended a main event match cleanly.

Dixie is amazing in her total lack of self awareness. She is fascinating to watch, but not for the reasons she thinks. Once again TNA makes me wish I stopped watching 15 minutes earlier.

I was astounded she kept it together in the face of such vitriol. She never stopped delivering her message, and she covered a lot of points. When the Dudleys attacked, she pantomimed her dismay really well.

Is she so good that she's bad or is she so bad, she's good?

The main downside of the show this week was the extent that they tried to play up New York as being special. If I wanted to watch a wrestling show that was fixated on New York, I'd be watching the competition.

The setting itself was interesting, it looked like a music venue. I wasn't crazy about it, but I like the idea of changing up the arena style every once and a while.

Taz starting the show from the rafters was an interesting visual.

Ending the show with the stale Dixie/Bully segment felt flat. I did like that Devon pulled out the table with III spraypainted on it for Ethan. At first I was confused about why he was going under the ring for a table when one was already in the ring. So now of the six targets that Bully announced weeks (months?) ago, Spud and Ethan have been tabled. Have MVP, Lashley, or King been tabled yet?

The gauntlet, X-Division title match was fantastic.

Ethan is perfect in virtually anything he does. "You can't wrestle!"/"I disagree."/"You can't wrestle!"/"I'm very good." Man, that interplay was the best. Also his look of joy as he grabbed the win, and was pulled up the ramp to safety by Rhino and Spud. So fantastic.

Spud trolling Taz with the orange suit was fun.

Hardy's swanton onto the stairs was an impressive visual.

Angle is doing well.

The bromance between Storm and Sanada continues to develop. I get the vibe that what Storm really wants is for Sanada to kick Storm's ass since Storm is sad that he's been out of the world title picture for so long.

Taz's promo was real good and shows he'd be a good manager for someone instead of the crappy announcer that he is. The crowd as usual with NY crowds was way too into itself. They were their typical misognistic selves during the knockouts match. Mike Tenay is the worst. Replace him with Borash please or even Josh Matthews. Did not miss Devon and hoping he and Bully don't reunite as a tag team, I enjoy Bully on his own. Boy did the WWE miss the boat on EC3.

Because New York is special. Look at the MSG card from the WWE. A lot of it has to do with ECW's relationship with the area and the other is TNA getting out of the Impact Zone. The shows have been sold out which is rare for this company. Minus the KO chants, I'd rather have that crowd than the one currently in Orlando.

Glad that he wasted little time in proving them very wrong. He's great in this role, has an excellent dynamic with almost everybody but especially Spud, and his whole entrance is well done just to put the cherry on top. Not only that, whomever thought up this character for him, even if it was EC3 himself, really tapped into a great idea. Kinda makes me think that Mr. Kennedy really missed out by not being Mr McMahon's kid all those years back.

Three oinkers wearing pants, a plate of hot air, a basket of grandma's breakfast and change a bull to a gill, got it.

There is something irrestible about copying the entrances. I used to do X-Pac's X-Factor entrance when coming into the office, the bar, and pretty much everywhere, until my girlfriend told me to "control myself.
