I don't have a ton to say about this show, but I figured what the hell since nobody started a thread on it and the mayans didn't come, why the heck not? I thought this show had a really good knockouts match between Tara and Mickie with a brutal looking finish with Mickie's leg crumpled up under her and the main event was a fantastic match that got time and a finish that protected Aries and set up a three way at the next PPV betwen Roode, Aries and Hardy. The crowd popped huge when Roode flipped Aries off and hit him with a spinebuster, but I'm sure he didn't turn face just got him some revenge. Kenny King flashing RVD the peace sign after leaving him alone to lose in the tag match was awesome as was Joseph Park's training video. Daniels hamming it up and sitting on santas lap was great too. The Aces and Eights stunk it up and poor Bully Ray making out with Hogan's tranny looking daughter. We have gotten to the point of no return with that nonesense. My thoughts on Sting as the guy behing 1-3-13? Yawn

The Bully Ray/Brooke angle and the Aces & Eights stuff has just killed TNA's momentum dead. I still watch the show because the wrestling is generally pretty good and Bad Influence are an essential part of my week but, man, thinking about the roll they were on when Aries won the belt and how much they've squandered it is a bit depressing.

It's the classic "Be careful what you wish for" scenario: many of us want longer storylines that breathe and make sense - unfortunately TNA does this by having everything go on for ages with little to no development. Aces & Eights is beyond a joke now and I'm just begging that it's all over after the inevitable Lethal Lockdown match. And that's four months away! At the rate we're going, Lockdown will just be the point in the story where Wes & Garrett turn, before another five month lead-in to Kurt's big revenge match at Bound For Glory. Terrifying.

At least with Aries, Roode, Hardy, Angle, Styles and Bad Influence at the top of the card, we're guaranteed good matches. It's just a shame that the bookers are crippling the show with shitty angles.

I thought there was some pretty good wrestling on this show with bad storylines and really bad announcing last night.

The Devon-Angle match was not very good as Angle is pretty beat up and Devon is a wretched singles wrestler and really can’t carry the load on his own. It is really not his fault as he is a good support player and great tag wrestler, but man once he was revealed as one Aces and Eights well the whole angle has died a slow death not that this whole angle was all that exciting. I mean people were expecting a big reveal at BFG thinking it was a great heel like Bully Ray as the Aces leader, but instead we got a surprise and man did it underwhelm that night and continues to. Devon beating a beat up Angle who was taken out last week and with outside interference does nothing for anyone. Angle really needs to take the next few months off and possibly come back at Lockdown. Angle is both banged up and really stale.

I really like Kenny King as a heel and it’s nice to see the X division have a built in feud instead of RVD just plowing through the division. The problem is while King is doing a nice job playing a dickish heel RVD really showed no signs of being annoyed at King for cheating to win last week or being turned on this week. RVD is the same nothing bothers me whatever dude character he’s always been and that has always annoyed me.

How bad is this Ryan-Morgan pairing? They have zero chemistry and no reason to be aligned. Morgan always gets the short straw and stuck in tag teams.

I love Daniels and Kazarian, but their segment was a rare swing and a miss by them. Storm’s mic work was fine, but that’s about it.

Tara Vs Mickie was a pretty good match not their match in TNA which was the cage match two years ago, but still good. I wish Mickie wasn’t just fodder for Tara with Velvet up next. I rather see Gail turn face and feud with Tara than see Velvet wrestle terribly. Velvet really is TNA’s Kelly Kelly which is sad because Velvet was a great bitch heel with Angelina years ago.

Aries Vs Hardy was a fantastic PPV quality match and I gotta give Hardy credit as he’s picked up his game in the last year. Roode running in and costing Aries the win was predictable, but still well done and the crowd went nuts and were for once engaged in the match.

The Hogan-Bully stuff last week was good with the intense showdown backstage not so this week. Hogan yammering on how much the promotion has grown since he came in was comical, but I bet Dixie bought it 100 percent. Bully and Brooke fooling around and Hogan catching them is more soap opera crap.

Sting is coming back? Wow he’s been gone so long right? Oh wait.

One last thing on the show the announcing is so bad. Kennely spews more cliches than Derek Jeter. Taz is all of the place and mailing it in and is the happy go lucky face announcer until he’s kissing a heels tuchis for cheating and ”doing what he needed to win”. Taz is as bad as Booker T was. Tenay is Tenay. I really wish Jeremy Borash was added to the announce team over Kennely or outright replaced Tenay as Borash adds energy is engaged in the product and knowledgeable. It is too bad Bischoff hates him so Borash won’t get a chance.

All in all, it was a acceptable wrestling show with good wrestling, but the storylines aren’t good and things are moving too slowly.

Right now TNA has a ton of great acts, but they are being drug down by their two major angles.

At this point Aces should just become a lower midcard feud like the Paul Jones army back in the day. D-Von and Baby Head Gallows are not the names to lead a company changing angle.

The Brooke/Bully stuff is just pointless. The only way it even makes sense is if Brooke is in cahoots with Aces and keeping Bully and Hulk distracted so they stay away from them.

But there are a lot of guys I love. Joey Ryan, Daniels, Kaz, Park, Joe, King, and that's just off the top of my head.

The KO and X Divisions need new blood. They should sell the farm to bring in Kong and Phoenix. Alex Shelly should be brought back for the X-Division until Saban is healed up, then give us a two year feud between MCMG and Kaz/Daniels.

Good show this week. I wonder why Aces and Eights didn't interfere in the main event. One would have expected that Aries paid off A&E to win the world title for himself, not to just cost Roode his shot.

The Knockouts segments were a letdown. Brooke Hogan seems utterly ineffectual due to her ongoing refusal to deal with the Knockouts Tag Team title situation.

Who is that big Aces and Eights guy? The one who isn't D'Lo/Devon/Garrett/Brisco/Knox. Speaking of which, am I correct in assuming that Mike Knox is the guy who was arguing with Bane this week?

I was hoping that Santa was going to be Roode. I loved the Bad Influences segment anyway.

Well, like ECA said in the first post, Nikita's real name is Scott Simpson and he's from Minnesota. He's about as Russian as the Undertaker is from the afterlife.
