Well, he's a big, slooooow body to grab rebounds and clog up the middle. He can hit an outside jumper though.

The Heat needed a large body to at least slow down (maybe not so much stop, because let's not ask for TOO much here) Dwight Howard and the Lakers' big guys. Big Z's a bargain. And I definitely don't worry about him and his money situation...assuming he was smart enough to ask for a one-year deal. I don't doubt for a second he could spend the lockout year making big bucks playing back in Europe.
MD: You have to win, no matter what. SC: Why didn't you try that this year?

If he gives the Heat 15 minutes a game and six fouls they got themselves a deal. He's a shell of a shell of his former self, but he should have a pretty easy go of it in Miami. It's a good fit for all parties involved, but can he actually get a tan in South Beach?

Z talked a lot about loyalty to Cleveland once he came back from the Jamison trade, right? So are people going to start setting his #11 jersey on fire too?

In a follow-up to this thread I posted on Christmas Eve last year, the Memphis Grizzlies have now waived 31-year-old, former three-time All-Star point guard Steve Francis. He did not appear in a game with the team, nor did he even travel with them.
