I recently wanted to hook up my SNES and I discovered that I didn't have enough AV input/output spaces. When I said this to my fiance she asked me "how many consoles do you actually have?"
1) Atari Flashback 2 2) NES 3) SNES 4) N64 5) GameCube 6) Wii 7) PSone 8) PS2 9) GBA (SP) 10) DS. 11) A pc (used for RTS games).
Her: "How can you possibly have ALL of those hooked up at once?"
Me: "I'm working on it".
Is anyone else here a serial consoler?

You don't have the 'cube and the Wii hooked up at the same time, do you? Cuz the Wii is backwards compatible.
Right now I just have a Wii and PS2. I also have a DS, a GBA, and I still have my original GameBoy, though I haven't used that in ages. If we're counting PC's, that brings my total to 6.
You believe me, don't you? Please believe what I just said...
They make A/V Input Splitters you know. As for consoles, I never cared enough about keeping the old consoles I used to have. We used to have an NES, then we had an SNES. I don't know what happened to either of those. I remember buying myself a Gameboy that came bundled with Link's Awakening, so that must have been when I was about 10 (got that money babysitting). Then I had a GBA for a while, and now I have two different DS Lites. That's all I have right now, but after weeks of waiting, I found a Wii available through a retailer online yesterday, and that should be here within a week.
I know they have A/V splitters, Mr. Boffo. I currently have a box which has multiple inputs (three to be exact), and you can switch between the three inputs. I need to get another box though, because I want to hook up some more of the systems.
And yup, the Wii and the Cube both hooked up at the same time. Mostly because I at times take the Wii with me (or let my future brother in-law borrow it) so if my roommates still want to play some Cube they can.

I have a 2600, a N64 (just for Pokemon Puzzle league), a PS2 and a Wii hooked up right now. I have a Colecovision somewhere and a PS1 that is not hooked up.
1) Sega Genesis 2) Sega Genesis 3) Sega CD (broken) 4) Sega Dreamcast 5) Sony Playstation 6) Sony Playstation 7) Sony Playstation 2 (broken) 8) Sony Playstation 2 (slimmed-down version) 9) X-Box 360
I'd test this if I still had my 'Cube, but I think the Cube and the Wii can share AV cables. So all you need to do is leave one cable plugged in to the back of the tv, and just switch which console is connected to the tv as needed. That should save you a port, right? (or are you somehow playing the Wii and Cube at the same time using picture in picture?)

Good point on the AV cable, being able to hot swap them may make a diference.
P to P consoles? That would be TOTALLY WICKED!!!
Once I'm married I'll likely leave the GameCube behind for my roomates, as I will be taking most of the consoles and games with me.
All of this said; I'll likely get another swicher. And maybe an Xbox 360 if they ever go down more in price.
