Interesting draft picks. They focused on the offensive line and defense. I wonder how many of these guys will be traded on draft day for picks.
The rule states that if a player is traded Houston will absorb all of the cap hit and the team on the other side of the trade will be left with the base salary. Houston could take the cap hit, get a load of picks, and have a ton of cap space next year to sign free agents.
Aaron Glenn and Tony Boselli are two guys I would dangle out there for a first round pick.

if the texans were looking to free up cap space and gain draft picks, they wouldn't have picked anyone good, especially with such high salaries. no team is going to give up 1st round picks for either a 30 year old, injury plagued offensive lineman or ridiculously high priced cornerback. also, the texans want to win as soon as possible and being placed in such a weak division doesn't hurt either.

60 watts? what do you think this is, a tanning salon?
I dont think the Texans are going this route. They already have the #1 overall pick. Tony Boselli when healthy is the best O-lineman in the league. And a good cornerstone O-lineman is crucial because theyre probably going to take David Carr in the draft. Boselli a good gamble and the Texans have been thorough in checking him out. Also winning right away probably isnt a priority for the Texans because they stayed young in the expansion draft. Theyre following the Jacksonville example and building for the future unlike the Panthers who took a bunch of old guys and won but had no nucleus of players to build on.
On another topic that stadium the Texans will play in is absolutely incredible! They will no doubt be the envy of the league. Just awesome.
Lyrically Im supposed to represent, Im not only a client Im the player-president.....
I've already got a couple of t-shirts and a wedge hat. And I'm a SEATTLE fan. I usually buy apparel of other teams as well if it looks cool tho.
I've got a Bucs Alstott jersey and wedge hat, a fitted 'D' Dolphins cap, the aforementioned Texans gear, plus my Hawks Jim Zorn (home) Springs (away) and Galloway (home) in addition to NUMEROUS hats.
