I am keeping my fingers crossed that Koy Detmer will bust out the old DX crotch chop on MNF next week.

I am weeping over the fact that we have to rely on a Detmer. How long until AJ Feeley is the QB?

From the infamous Wrestleline SS interview:

DTD: If you were to make changes in WCW, if you were in charge and not Ric Flair, what would they be?

SS: I'd get rid of all the old guys, and push the talent that has waited to get the push. The things they are doing, it's back in the 1980s. It's just bad, man. Flair doesn't even deserve to be on the show. You've got to get rid of all the old guys. Like what Vince did, they started pushing guys. Nobody knew who The Rock was 2 years ago. He made The Rock. Now The Rock just did Saturday Night Live. You've got to start with the young talent, talent people can relate to. Who are we trying to relate to if we've got a 50 year old man out there? Are we trying to relate, so a 50 year people and above will go out and buy a f*cking little toy? That ain't gonna happen. It's a f*cking joke.

Does it remind you of any show in particular?

Ah, they'll do okay with Detmer. They really only need to play .500 ball for the rest or the season to make the playoffs. Hell, 10 wins will likely win that division. With their defense, they should be able to do that.
Oh, and now would be a great time for everyone to pick up Duce for their fantasy teams.

If they do win it will be an ugly win. Ray Didinger said it best after Sundays game. You can kiss teams playing Cover 2 goodbye. They know Koy doesn't have any arm strength so they will pull the safeties up to the line of scrimmage to stop the run and have the corners play man coverage. The other teams will try to force Koy to beat them which is what the Eagles want to avoid. For them to have any chance the offensive line is going to have to come up huge the last 6 weeks. I would look for a lot of 6, 7, maybe 8 men in the box from defenses.

The next two games, 49ers and Rams, are throwaways. To limp into the playoffs they don't mean that much in the overall scheme of things because we are not getting home field advantage. The Eagles need to beat Seattle, the Giants, and either Dallas or Washington to lock up the division. Going 5-1 in the division wins the division because the Eagles conference record is 6-0 vs. 5-4 for the Giants. The Eagles can afford to lose 3 conference games as long as only one is in the division. Of course, this assumes that the Eagles tie the Giants.

But, your assuming the Giants losing 2 in a stretch where the they have a much easier schedule on paper (Houston,Dallas,Washington,Indy,Tenn.,Philly). 5-1 is not that far outside the realm of possibility with that schedule.

I want you to know, I agree with everything I've just said.

I think it will come down to the last game of the season. 5-1 is possible but the Titans and Colts are both playing better as of late. Washington and Dallas, both NFC rivals, will be no walk in the park. Houston should be the only easy win on the schedule.

I'm still hopeful. Mcnabb's a big loss, no question. But ironically with the exception of the Cards game our passing games been sketchy for a while now. I know teams dont have to worry about the threat of the pass as much any more but our running game and defense should be good enough to see us through.

Lets not forget San Fran and the Rams havent been a picture of consistency this season

It really was a week of upsets this past week. Cincy defeating Denver, Miami over St.Louis, Jacksonville over Indy, KC blowing out Atlanta has to be considered a minor upset at least and Phily almost lost to Cleveland...
