I remember the book (and the movie) was very important to me the year I read it in school. I don't know how well it would hold up as an adult, but it still feels like something worth reading.

My favorite book AND my favorite movie. Named my son after one the characters.
I've avoided reading her book that came out last year because I heard it would tarnish my opinion of some of the characters, but I might still have to take the plunge.
I would say this is sad, but she's lived her life and she contributed more to society with that one work of art than most people could even dream of contributing.
