so, I know it's a fad maybe about done, but I wonder if anyone else has been in a Harlem Shake Video? I have.

I haven't seen one with, say John Cena leading yet, althought this one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=DABphlXEyW8

is apparently from the WWE. I hear they will also do one at Wrestlemania after the fad is completely done.

Do you "Harlem shake"

We'll be back right after order has been restored here in the Omni Center.

Nah, YouTube and the Grumpy Cat had the only acceptable Harlem Shake videos. (Grumpy Cat refuses to do it, while Youtube animates the page when you type in "do the Harlem Shake".)

Never mind that the entire meme is racist as hell in the first place. The Harlem Shake is a dance that's existed since the 1980s and is a hell of a lot more famous and well-established than this song or the meme ever was. And yet, that doesn't stop people from just stealing the name and using it to do some dance that's completely and utterly unrelated to the real Harlem Shake. Appropriating another cultural element, with absolutely no regard for context (or what it actually is in the first place)? C'mon, white people. Call it something else. I'm sure Baauer would say the same thing, in between cashing his gigantic royalty checks, thanks to the Youtube ad revenue.

(Note that when I said the meme is racist, I'm not saying anything about the people doing it. They probably never thought about its context or anything else like that.)

Friend of mine from work made a Harlem Shake video with a bunch of his buddies.

My faves (it sure is easy to get sick of that song):

EDIT:
Hmmm, these didn't have the "use old embed code" check box and pasting the links into a different "use old embed code" codeblock didn't work. { New embed code should work now - if you see videos, it worked this time at least - Ed.I }

Oh thanks a lot guys. I only vaguely knew about it at all, and of course now I had to watch these Youtube videos and watch more of them even then some of you guys posted. Now that song won't leave my brain space.

What a goofy meme.

Zeruel's video posts are awesome. I loved seeing the Gokaigers involved. Being a Sentai geek, I pretty much recognize all of the suits in those two videos.

Harlem Shake sucks, but meh - it's easier to do than Gangnam style. Anyone can gyrate.

(wasn't sure whether to put this here or music, but it was more about her than her music so random won) Link The two have been dating for awhile. I never thought it would get this serious this quick.
