Bought Reach, played a couple of the missions yesterday. So far, it is pretty similar to the other Halo games, and that's not a bad thing. This weekend, I will get to try out the customizable Firefight mode (which is the real appeal of this game for me).

I'm very excited about NBA2K11-- the Jordan Challenge, to be more specific. Might even make me deviate from my usual policy of waiting a year to pick up the sports games.

I bought the game, and I did enjoy Firefight. 6/9 through the Campaign. But what has been getting most of my playtime is Invasion. I love how the gradual unlocks work over the course of the map.
The typical Invasion acts like two portions King of the Hill/Territories, where the offensive team must capture the points. After you do that twice you have to take a "core" (ie; a flag) and capture it. Every time a stage gets done, another loadout gets unlocked.
Invasion Slayer is something similar, but instead of objectives the amount of kills you get unlocks loadouts. You can still capture territories, but when you do that weapons spawn 15 seconds or so after it gets captured. And it just so happens to spawn the best weapons. Oh, and as the round progresses more and more heavy stuff gets dropped. Like Wraiths, Tanks, Banshees, etc etc only get spawned when you capture one of these points, and these also happen to be the only vehicles you can get. As one can imagine, the races to get these more recent items are CUT THROAT.
The momentum switches in this mode are huge. My team was losing by about twelve kills, when all of a sudden we unlocked another loadout. The one with Swords. All of a sudden the Spartan's shotgun advantage was equalized. Powered by two double kills and a triple kill by ME, we jumped ahead and held the lead. Oh, and I hijacked a banshee, but proceeded to jump out of it by mistake (oops). The same banshee that threatened our lead no less!
So yeah, other than finishing campaign with a buddy of mine I don't see myself playing any other mode in that game in the near future.

Not to nitpick, but a) Why do people keep forgetting the e in the title, or is this not the game I'm thinking of? (You're not the first I've seen do this) and b) Is your character a tribute to the late senator or is this another typo?
