The show delivers what it promises. It's Duets! (And they don't mean that crappy movie with Gwenyth Paltrow.)

But first, the bombshell gets dropped that Puck's in juvie...for stealing an ATM machine! Yikes! I guess that's as good a reason as any to bring Sam into the fold. Ok, I was totally convinced that Sam was brought in to be Kurt's love interest, but I guess that turned out to be a red herring. I do think Sam and Quinn make more sense, considering Sam's the closest she'll get to Finn's doppelganger.

Whoa, HELLO Santana and Brittany. "It's a nice break from all that scissoring." Um...wow...didn't expect that. I guess I should have, but still...wow. And I definitely didn't expect Artie losing his virginity to Brittany, of all people.

Was she this much of a prima donna in the first season, or has she been heavily Flanderized this year?

It's funny that after ekedolphin's bad first impression of Rachel, she's trying to take a step forward with her character...sort of. I do think the moment she shared with Kurt at the end is the most likable she's been in the entire series.

Mike: We should go to Asian Couples Therapy.
Tina: Why does the couples therapy have to be Asian?

Song choices were great. The Asians performing "Sing!" was the highlight of the show for me, hands-down.

Word is that was the original plan but then they figured Sam/Quinn had such good chemistry they changed it. There's also rumours that Mark Sailing is quitting Glee for a solo music career, but the word there is that they just wanted him off the ep so Sam would have an opportunity to join the club and mack on Quinn. It would be dumb on Sailing's part if the rumour was true...although they are starting to run out of Jewish singers for him to cover.

Outside Don't Go Breaking My Heart the songs were blah. Shocked they went as far as they did with Team Lesbian Cheerleaders but Brittany/Santana always deliver the goods. They, Artie and the love of Breadsticks were the high points, Sam is dragging most of the other stuff down.

I would like to just go on the record of believing in Kurt's gaydar. Sam is secretly gay but closeted.

So much of the show is about deception and self-deception and romantic betrayal, it would make perfect sense for Sam to cheat on Quinn with Kurt (probably in New York)

I will very much grant you that the season's still young, so this could ultimately be the result. I don't think anything could create more teenage strife than this scenario, so I'm going to guess that you're going to be right on the money here.

I thought the best songs of the night were the Super Asian Couple's duet, and especially the Colby Calliat song, which is one of my favorite tunes of all time.

What's supposed to be so offensive and Rachel/Finn song? I thought it was pretty good.

Because the song is about a (possibly illicit) love afair, and Rachel was dressed as a school girl and Finn was dressed as a priest.

Which is funny considering last week's episode.

I thought she was a nun?

Also re: last week's episode, I found it slightly amusing that they had Kurt -- who just "came out" as an atheist -- doing a religious song without a peep.

Ladies and gentlemen, the following public service message is brought to you by your friends from D-Generation X, who would like to remind each and every one of you that if you're not down with that, we've got two words for you...

I'm only an occasional watcher of this show, primarily because there are quite often moments where the High School Musical nature of the musical numbers overwhelms my ability to suspend disbelief. When they do stuff like recreate Britney Spears's first music video shot-for-shot, it's off-putting and artificial because it creates the impression that yes, you could do this too if you had an unlimited costume budget and were skilled in the use of Auto Tune. *rolleyes*

But the show has its moments where the story, the characters and the relationships are allowed to shine through (as they should with any TV show) and the music just plays to highlight and complement these things rather than take on a starring role; and when it does this, there's few things on TV more compelling. This episode (and in particular, the Kurt/Rachel duet at the very end - the way how Judy's half of the song was lyrically and tonally a perfect match for Kurt and his state of mind was quite chilling) is thankfully a stellar example of Glee's Jekyll side (as opposed to the Britney episode being an equally stellar example of Glee at its worst).

While the switch from Cena to RVD should alleviate some complaints, the inevitability of the belt's return to Cena (note where Summerslam is this year) and the poor initial showing by the new ECW are enough to keep the indicator where it is for now. The pieces are in place, though, especially on RAW, for improvements to be made to the IWC's psyche in the near future.

The best way to entertain me is to provide More Bear, but I wasn't feeling it tonight. Episode came across as pretty dull, which is very disappointing, considering this show had some strong showings over the last few weeks.
