You see, to become a dairy farmer, you likely need to know how to make cheese. She barley knows how to make curds at this point (am I making the analogy right? I think I should check with Guru Zim to confirm this for me).
Danica to NASCAR would be a bad move for her. The only plus for her going there would be the money and I really don't think that is going to be as a big a plus as she thinks. Not with NASCAR suffering through the recession like everyone else. She'll go to a totally different type of racing machine, with probably more quality opponents every race and even more pressure to deal with, she's doomed to fail, IMO. Let me put it this way: if Indy 500 champs and guys that have won series championships like Hornish and Montoya are still struggling just to make the top 20 every race, how do you see her doing any better? And the critics are going to expect her to do better, otherwise they're just going to call her the racing equvilant of Anna Kournikova: all hype and looks, no substance.

Techincally you'd probably have to know how to milk a cow.
The woman can drive. She's leading her AGR teammates in the points (altough she's doing it the "Montoya Way" this year, always finishing around fifth or so). She has never been really outrun by drivers who were in the same stuff she had. (I give her a pass on her first year at AGR, when she was new to the team, and even that year she beat Marco in the points.) She's never been the Casey Mears or David Stremme of her IndyCar team.
Can she drive a stock car? Who knows? She's only been in a top-flight Indycar her first year at AGR, so maybe if she ended up in a Hendrick car (Brad Keselowski to a third Stewart Haas car with Danica in JR's #88 Nationwide car would make a lot of sense) she would actually do quite well. If they are throwing big-time cheddar at her (continuing the queso-theme) to move to NASCAR she would be crazy to turn it down given the economy and the state of flux the IndyCar series is in with the coup d'etat of the George sisters.

Danica's having her best overall IRL season - she finished surprisingly well in Toronto last week, especially consider her team's cars had been really bad all weekend. (It was a surprisingly entertaining race, FWIW.)
But her best ever season still leaves her in 5th, and slipping farther away from first by the week. The bad thing about being in IndyCar is that you only get attention about one race a year, but Danica may be better off that way right now.

Now Kevin Harvick wants out of RCR and wants to join Stewart reports ESPN.
I heard not to long ago that Tony Stewart has been using Hendrick engines. It shows!
Imagine how much crying she'll be doing when somebody in NASCAR puts her into a wall. She's unbearable as it is. That's all we need is to hear every race how she finished 28th.

No, they'd just call her the female Dale Earnhardt Jr.

If she got into the face of a short-fused NASCAR driver, I wonder what would happen...

Anna Kournikova made an awful lot of money being Anna Kournikova. Moving to NASCAR may be a bad move for on the track performance, but it may be the right move if Danica wants to maximize her earnings.

All hype and no substance = DEJ, doesn't it?
Yeah, if history begins in 2006.

Oh, that's right, he was practically Richard Petty before then.

I want to see Danica in NASCAR...but I'm not sure I'm ready to hear all the NASCAR purists complain about another open-wheel racer try to conquer "their" sport.

Well, he drives for Hendrick in the Nationwide series...not sure if that means anything, though.
Does Harvick race for RCR in Nationwide and the Truck series, too? If not, he's making quite a gamble, since SHR doesn't run a team in either series.

From when he showed up in 2000 through the end of 2005, here is the list of drivers who won more Sprint Cup races than Dale Earnhardt Jr.
- Jeff Gordon - Tony Stewart - Jimmie Johnson
That's the whole list. I didn't say he was "practically Richard Petty", just that the whole "all hype/no substance"-thing didn't really apply until he got into a Hendrick car, last season. Just because it wasn't chic to care about Junior when he was winning like it is not that he's not, doesn't mean you can take away the time when he was *actually* winning.

Nope, I can't. Of course there was no driver EVER hyped more than Junior has been after 2005, and, yet, those other three drivers are still competitive.

A case of your mileage may vary I guess. Machida's style doesn't really excite me and I'm not sure whether Tito has the hunger these days to really hunt for the finish. I see this one going the distance with a split decision from the judges.
