For a long episode not much happened. The Hound joined the Brotherhood after they killed the butchers that murdered the Hound's friends. Darth Mountain ripping a Sparrow's head made Tommen cancel the battle of honor thus Cersi may have an explosive plan B.
Jamie allowed Brie to see the Blackfish without any luck. So, Jamie went full heel and convinced Edmure Tully to go into Riverrun to surrender. The Blackfish helps Brie escape, but stays to die. The reasoning for Edmure's turn and his stupid troops following his orders was head shaking at best.
Varys leaves before it gets attacked by the slavers. Danny magically walks in at the end. Hopefully, we get the Greyjoys next, so that Danny can move an inch on the board after three years.
The big move was Arya finally killing the Waif after a Terminator style chase. She delivers the Waif's face to Jacquen who lets her go to Winterfell. We hope in time for Bastard Bowl now that Cleagne Bowl has been cancled.
The Hound butchers people with his axe. Diplomacy fails in Meereen and now we must fight. Cersei chooses violence. Are we diseased, according to Brother Ray, for wanting these outcomes?
Sadly, Arya really was that stupid for letting her guard down last week.
If the guards at Riverrun are so loyal to Edmure that they ignored the Blackfish's plea to not lower the drawbridge, then why did they do nothing last week when the Blackfish was all like, "kill Edmure, see if I care?"
Next week: Battle. Of. The. Bastards.

(edited by Mr Shh on 14.6.16 1046) You askew my mirror. I askew yours.
Everything important seemed to happen offscreen - Blackfish's death, Lady Crane's death, the Waif-Arya fight, Daenerys wrecking the masters' navy.
This Arya story arc has been utterly shoddy, incompetent writing, full of out-of-character moments and displaying a total lack of internal logic. I'm glad it's over, even if we arrived at that end in the most un-subtle, un-creative, ham-fisted way.

I mean, I can't imagine this is more than a cough of Drogon's away.

We'll be back right after order has been restored here in the Omni Center.
