From my perspective sitting in the stands, I just remember him hitting these punts when I was a kid that you'd look to see just how high the ball would clear the facade of the Orange Bowl.
Geez. HST yesterday and Reggie Roby today. It's not a good week to be one of my childhood heroes.

Thanks for a great season, Pick of the Week fans...see you next year at Planet Magic in Denmark, WI!

No, Beavis, that sucked.
Dom Gentile, the Packers' trainer from Lombardi's time through Holmgren's rookie campaign of 1992, always hated Roby for that. He was legitimately concerned somebody rushing Roby could get a finger caught in the wristband and ripped off.
Gentile tried complaining to the NFL about it, but during that time, Dolphins head coach Don Shula was on the competition committee...so no progress was ever made.
Star wipe, and...we're out. Thrillin' ain't easy.

Yeah, but that happened to Ronnie Lott anyway, and no wristwatch was involved.
I'm fairly certain if it had been a certain purple-wearing team's trainer doing the complaining, you 'd have thought the watch was BRILLIANT. :)

E.T. said it best...."Ouch!" There's not much more to say than that, except congratulations to a superbly coached game and Michael Vick. Injuries and bad calls played their part, but in the end they were simply beaten. Good luck with Philly.
