Back when I was foolishly recapping practically Every Televised Wrestling Show (Except The B-Shows, I Guess), my idea for bringing people to a THUNDER! report which I probably had no business writing was that I would try to put a mini-column up at the top of the page as a bonus to all the people who bothered to click on the link. This one, written just after Bill Busch disappeared and a couple of weeks before Russo and Bischoff BOTH returned to Make Everything Special Again, included some pretty obvious tips about how to help the product - free advice from me, which is worth just about what you pay for it, and whether ANY of it was followed may be a matter of debate but of course the big fact is there isn't a WCW today.

I'm drawing your attention to it NOW because while much of it is irrelevant and no longer timely, there just MAY be something in there that could apply to TNA - not that I have any of THEIR eyes or ears at the moment, at least as far as I'm aware. So the bottom line is it's still fairly entertaining even over five years later, not a bad read, not a bad way to kill a few minutes, and why can't I be motivated to even APPROACH writing like this in 2005?

And I can't, by the way - this really would be the *perfect* time to get back on that horse with a new TNA show AND a fresh start back on USA for RAW, but - and I'm not egomaniacal enough to think that ANY of you was holding any sort of suspense in this regard, honest, and yet here I am typing this out anyway - I still can't actually sit down and make myself DO it. Part of me thought "well, once I have a laptop maybe I'll want to at least do some sort of real-time thing while the show's on" but much MORE of me quickly put that other part of me in its place. I'm LAZY, I'm OLD, I'm SMARTER ABOUT HOW I WASTE MY TIME - take your pick.

Oh, right, I've moved off a few tangents without providing THE LINK: http://slashwrestling.com/thunder/000322z.html

Time for me to SHUT UP AND WRESTLE

Forget TNA, WWE could learn a few things from that.

CRZ: there just MAY be something in there that could apply to TNA - not that I have any of THEIR eyes or ears at the moment, at least as far as I'm aware

And if so, let's hope they don't get out of it - "Hey, it sure would be cool to have Tank Abbott around! That guy sounds GREAT!" "WE NEED SID!!"...(maybe you should have left out some parts) ;-)

No more NWO: To bad Vince didn't read that a few years later. Hopefully, no one ever gets the bad idea to dredge it up again.

Commentary team shake-up: I think RAW could definitely use that now.

Don't mention the competition: That might be the most important thing for TNA. Worry about yourself, let others take shots at Vince and Co. for you.

You know, with a huge RAW this week AND the debut of IMPACT on Spike... why not... oh I DON'T KNOW... do a set of reports as a way of finally closing out your wrestling writing career on a POSITIVE note?

Just a thought...

By halfway thru the Piper or Hogan segment (which ever comes first), the idea of a positive ending will be out the window.

Being done is a positive note in its self.

How much will you pay me? Otherwise, hahahahahahahahahahaha "career" hahahaha.

Incidentally, *I* was happy with how and when I stopped, so you can probably imagine how much I care about how anybody else may have felt about it, or whether THEY thought it was "a POSITIVE note," &c although I seem to recall getting some very nice feedback at the time, which felt pretty good.

Zed, if you're happy, we're happy. But just so you know (and I think you do), there are still a lot of us who enjoyed your recaps much more than the shows themselves and would welcome them back, if even for an evening. I was never more proud that during the time on this board I was listed as "WALKING." And I got a kick out of Ekedolphin's recap this past Monday where he said Bisch was on the phone to you.

So, we still remember, we occasionally reread your recaps and think of them fondly. And yes, that was the greatest recap segment ever. MATCH OF THE YEAR!!

I'd chip in at least $40, can't speak for anyone else though.

I'll echo that. Your recaps were easily a daily read, CRZ. Even a one-day return, like AWArulz said, would be the One Throwback To Rule Them All.

If you're just not about it, OK...but it sure was fun while it lasted. Either way, keep up the infotainment.

Mine was Raymond Stereo... so simple, yet comedy gold!

*sigh*

Ah well. To 'me', it felt like you quit on a downer because the shows were so awful at the time. I figured you just couldn't stand sitting through them anymore.

I stopped watching when I discovered your recaps back before Wrestleline - I stopped caring when you quit recapping altogether.
