He did do the match and they didn't change the title.
Hardy's next (likely-to-be-postponed) hearing on his drug charges is scheduled for Wednesday.

Douglas Williams vs. AJ Styles was a close contender to match-of-the-night (narrowly beating out Full Metal Mayhem). It also showed what a shame it is that these aren't the guys main eventing shows considering the last three matches on the card pretty much stunk.
Williams hitting the Rolling Chaos Theory outside and then finishing off Styles with the Styles Clash (!!) was awesome. Hopefully they'll actually do something with Williams and let him defend the title rather then ignoring the championship for weeks on end.
Full Metal Mayhem was wonderful too (though I question the wisdom of putting your two hottest matches back to back, in the middle of the show). Not sure if the belts were legit too high or not but they did an awesome job improvising; a lot of those spots had my stomach in knots, though! With Beer Money winning the number one contendership, though, I'm shocked that they're doing Beer Money vs. MCMG again (even though I loved the first series VERY MUCH and I'm not complaining - it just goes to show you how thin the tag division is right now)
Don't care about Abyss. I have no idea why he went over two pay per views in a row. In a perfect world, Abyss would have lost, gone off television for a while, refocused his stale character.. but, alas.
Samoa Joe loses to Jeff Jarrett.. shocker. According to PWInsider, Samoa Joe's contract is up and they're working on renegotiating. How I'd long for Joe to go up north. :<
Eric Bischoff getting involved in the main event and forcing a referee to count? I was sure that Dixie had some sort of court order relieving Bischoff of his executive powers but considering they didn't mention anything about it last Impact or follow up, I'm sure they just forgot about it.
Props to TNA on having Eric send Anderson into the ring post, head first, and having him bleed out the back of his head right after he just got back from having a legit concussion, though. This was sarcasm, by the way.

Considering how weak the SD roster's looking right now (and that there's a good four months to burn before the draft), the E could do a lot worse than throwing money at Joe. That's a pipe dream, though. Too bad, because for as many jobs as he'd inevitably do, it's not like TNA's treating him any better. The booking for that Jarrett/Joe match was just terrible.
The sad thing is, if you ignore those last two matches and Lethal/Robbie E, it's a solid PPV. A lot of good matches and some great spots. Abyss punching through the casket to clamp on the testicular claw was a great spot for a Casket Match.
Anderson doing a blade job for Eric Bischoff is like Randy Orton doing a blade job for Michael Cole.
As Wannaberockstar said Styles Vs Williams was a tremendous match up. It was ever bit as good as expected and probably better. The chaos theory on the outside was swank. Williams even busted out a head and arm Tazplex. I would love to see these guys get twenty-five minutes.I am shocked to see Williams getting pushed and he's really starting to get over as a face. Beer Money Vs Ink INC was a solid opener and I was pleasantly surprised to not see The Beer bottle to the head finish. RVD Vs Rhino was surprisingly good. MCMG Vs Gen Me was fun spot fest and they've had really good matches the last few months. That said, I'm looking forward to another round of Beer Money-MCMG even if the tag division is thin. Pope jobbing to Abyss is ridiculous. As is Jarrett going over Joe again even with the out they gave Joe with the pre match attack. Hardy either should have been stripped of the title or quickly dropped it to Morgan. The replacement match according to James Powell would have been Jarrett Vs Morgan vs Anderson. Which means we'd get another Jarrett reign of terror. Some really good matches but again marred by bad booking.
From the reports, this seems to have been a decent enough show, with every match getting at least 9 minutes, and a fair number of clean endings, especially considering TNA's recent PPV record.
I think Williams' resounding win over AJ (using his own finisher on him) could really be the start of the strong title reign for him, especially if TNA remember the original premise of the TV Title, that is would be defended every week on TV. And TNA could do a lot worse than scheduling a 8-to-10 minute Doug Williams title defense every week.
That said, I think the Immortal/Fortune v TNA feud has been booked better than the previous attempts at the same thing. It does seem that the faces are on equal footing despite not having the numbers advantage, and the heels are not total chumps. All of this, of course, without taking into account the booking of Joe v JJ.
MCMG v Gen Me was probably predictably hectic. I wonder if the Guns could tear it up with a more technical/mat-based team. Their great matches this year have been against teams who play the same game as the Guns do, or teams like Beer Money who can adapt. I would love to see the Guns adapt to a different style.
I caught some reviews and it seemed to be a better PPV then the last one thanks mostly MCMG vs. Generation Me and AJ vs. Williams. TNA continues to suck the life out of Joe and Pope for no reason other then continue the reign of darkness. Beer Money will get the belts and I am sure AJ will win the belt back during Impact or the next PPV so all the heels can have the belts since that always draws money. TNA's tag division is thin, but its quality. Hopefully, Madison will defend that title soon since it has been an afterthought of Tara/Mickie. Surprised Tara won as well as Williams. TNA needs to move past these current feuds and start building someone new ones especially the main event. No one buys Morgan as a threat to Jeff, push Pope, Anderson or Joe.
Even looking at the blasted high resolution pictures of that belt makes me want to take blow torch to it, sledge hammer it, & just to make sure its total destroyed from existence...explosives.
I only watched Mickie vs. Tara online and since no one has really said anything about it, I will. I felt bad for them. I'm sure in their minds they were following up their well received and exciting brawl at the last PPV and tried to raise the ante (never mind that they had another similar brawl on Impact last week that stole the thunder of this one). Mickie and Tara threw themselves into some painful looking obstacles and objects - concrete walls and pillars, trash cans, chairs... Both women have repeatedly put their bodies through a lot of abuse. And for what, really? The finish was done for comedy - both women fighting in the men's room with dudes actually using the facilities being evicted from stalls. The camera didn't follow Mickie and Tara into the largest stall, where Tara's head emerged wet, meaning they missed the swirlie. Then Madison Rayne was somehow hiding in the next stall with a fire extinguisher. Worst of all, Mickie has to take the pin on the filthy, disgusting men's room floor and had to lie there selling being knocked out after the match. I'm sure Russo and the boys found it hilarious. But no, it was gross, and pointless. Mickie loses so now can't get a shot at Madison. What's the next step? Another dangerous brawl with Tara? Who booked this crap? Oh right, Russo.

I guess you will not be reassured to know that Tara hurt her arm in last night against Mickie in probably another needless stunt. The KO division could be a cornerstone like the X-Division as well the tag team division. Instead, its getting buried away all the while somehow still being the most popular segment of the show. I understand most of those are just lonely horny guys tuning in, but I am sure there are female viewers turning into see some non-stick figures wrestle. Female viewers should be something they would want to go after, but the writing seems to be done to degrade the division instead of boosting it up.
