I hate watching the Yankees and Red Sox pilfer guys like this away with giant wads of cash, but if Felix eventually bolted, would anyone honestly blame him?
I wish Fire Joe Morgan was still around for articles exactly like this one. Murray Chass has been a target of them in the past, and should be again. My personal favourite part was when he notes that the new NY Times writer uses 'newfangled stats,' thus implying that he should still have his job with the paper.
Heh, I love how he argues that while it may be hard to win with such low run support, other pitchers have found ways to win on bad teams! Of course they had better run support, but that didn't matter not one bit!
@KenTremendous I feel as proud of the BBWAA as I would of my own son, had he actually won the Cy Young Award.

He just signed a five-year contact that starts in 2011, so he'll stay put, at least for a couple of years.

Kind-of ironic; Zack Grienke won last year with 16 wins compared to Felix's 19 wins last year and came up short in the AL Cy Young. This year, he wins 13 and second place (Price) had 19 wins.
In any case, King Felix deserved it as he practically had to do everything in his power to actually win despite having a very poor offense to back him up.
