And finally on FOX (because I'll NEVER watch "The War at Home") is the sixth season premiere of Family Guy. Again, kinda weak for a season premiere - or maybe I should stop raising my expectations for "season premiere" episodes (ask me again after "Earl"/"The Office" on 9/21) - but this one was funny enough to make me glad there's new "Family Guy" to watch. I have a feeling this'll get the thumbs up from the people who have always liked the show, and the thumbs in the ass from the people who hate it and probably didn't actually watch it. Thumb in the ass, ha ha ha, but seriously get your prostate checked, men.

Seth MacFarlane said on the radio last week that the first few episodes of this season were produced with last season's episodes, so I'm not sure when the NEW new season actually starts. (Hence the dated flu shot references.)

I got a few good chuckles out of it. Though right at this moment, I can't really remember what it was I laughed at. That might tell you something.

Thankfully, they only went to the "joke that goes on too long" well once, and it was Stewie, so it wasn't so bad.

Oh wait, I remember my favorite joke: "How HOW how!"

I agree that "Family Guy" was weak for a season premiere, but it was still a good episode. Peter's initial reaction to the prostate exam was hilarious and Joe's reaction at the bar was priceless.

Was Meg even in this episode?

First episode of the show I've watched in a while. Nothing over-the-top hilarious, but a funny show overall.

It seemed more focused than most of the Family Guys I have seen lately. I've thought the show has lost all sense of a plot recently, relying WAY too much on cutaways. This show didn't do too many of those, and I enjoyed it.

I, too, noticed that Meg was missing. Couple that with the new-sounding voice of Chris, and I'm paranoid that Mila Kunis may have left the show.

I wasn't a fan of the running Sulu gag, but the rest was good.

Mila Kunis was in the credits at the end.

Meg was in the episode (if only for a second). I think she suggests going to see the lawyer in the mall (to which Chris brought up the fact that there's an Orange Julius there, too).

I dug the show. I liked it much better than the later episodes last season (the pre-Stewie movie episodes) because, as stated, it seemed more focused.
