Did anyone else see the Bigshow's guest appearance on Enterprise? It was allright. He got to feel up T'Pol and got kicked in the nuts. Pretty much standard for the Showster.

I thought it was a good start to this story arc, and from the behind the scenes clips, it looked like Big Show was having a lot of fun with his role.
And another wrestling connection/useless trivia fact: The Orion slave girl in the episode was one of the Diva Search contestants, but she didn't make the finals.
Can there really be sexual tension when one party only gets horny every seven years?
For someone who usually doesn't watch Enterprise, it was a decent enough hour, even if the show continues to look subpar compared to the previous franchises. For some reason, whether it's drabber sets or the damned UPN bug, Enterprise, even with the 1.78:1 ratio, doesn't look as good as its predecessors. The Orion Slave Market set just screamed "amateurish." It's like second class TV at times.
That said, Show was funny (I didn't even realize he was set to be on) and Spiner will always be a yellow skinned god.
So, um, I don't want you to believe everything you hear at the parent-teacher conference, okay, 'cause...they lie. And they exaggerate. That's why they're teachers, right? Those who can't, right, Mom? Those who can't.
Gawd he looked like a freaking Orge...or a Giant Incredible Hulk. I happened to catch it while it was on Friday. I heard him and I said, "I know that voice". After watching more I saw it was Show. He did good for his part.

Well, I am not so sure that Vulcans only get horny once every 7 years. I think they only go into heat that often but maybe still have recreational sex when they want too. But yeah UPN sucks ass all kinds of ways. I don't know if their Hi-Def is any good since I have an old cheap t.v. but their broadcast is terrible. There is at least 2 30 second or so cut outs every single episode. Sure all shows have that everyone once in a while but UPN has more or them and longer than any other channel I watch. That Orion syndicate is where the show should have gone the first 2 seasons instead of dumbass AIDS morality episodes and shit like that. Show the Alpha Quadrant is a shithole because none of the other powers care about other races. Only humans (America) are able to buy forcing peace onto other people for their own good.

It was ok, my faith in the Star Trek franchise when Voyager became the flagship. Show after his wrestling career will probably some nice roles like Rock does now. He can play goofy big guy and menacing threat in the same way Michael Clark Duncan does.
I wouldn't get my hopes up for continuity in the story arc or it to end will after reading the spoilers. Enterprise was a great idea, but once you screw up the Federation/Klingon's first meeting right off the bat, than your toast.

Blame UPN. The average budget per episode is around $800.000 this season. They slashed the budget in order to keep it on the air another season. This does make it pretty close to the lowest priced show in prime time this year.
As a comparison, the first two hours of LOST was made for around $20 million.
Goes to show that you DO get what you pay for.

Okay, this one I can't figure out. The first part is obvious: CBS owns UPN, and Moonves treats it like the lost, ugly stepchild, save giving it Kevin Hill when it should rightly be on the Tiffany. That much is obvious. But where is the ABC/WB connection coming from? Yes, The WB does offer up more for production (and uses cost as a handy excuse for when shows in development suck; see "Gilmore Girls, Shitty Untitled Jess Spinoff") but where ABC "treat[ing] WB pretty good" enters the equation I am puzzled.
Just color me confused.
That said, I knew UPN slashed the license fee for Enterprise, but even the sparse few older episodes I've see seem to be shoddily thrown together. Not that TNG or DS9 looked like high-end motion picture science fiction, but they came off as professional, while Enterprise looks like the bastard son of SciFi 2.

Sorry I thought that ABC and WB were owned together. Makes you wonder why ABC has a better relationship with WB than than CBS does with it's subdivision.

Actually UPN would be CBS's little brother network, The WB is owned by Time-Warner, who are most likely to be associated with NBC (They provide quite a bit of NBC's content) though they don't own NBC.
Disney = any ABC, ESPN, and Disney (of course) networks on your cable system
Viacom = CBS, UPN, SpikeTV, Comedy Central, MTV & VH1, Nicelodeon (and any offshoots of the previous)
Fox = Fox, Fox News, Fox Sports Net, FX (I'm sure I'm missing something)
Time-Warner = The WB, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, CNN, TCM(again, I'm missing some stuff)

Please allow me, for the sake of thine own sanity, to correct the NBC column a bit...yes, USA is included, but the header "Vivendi-Universal" is a bit misleading. Vivendi only owns 20% of (and has no control over) NBC Universal, with GE calling the shots, including the movie studio, but, I believe, excluding the theme park properties. The latter I'm not 100% sure on. Basically, NBC bought Uni from them and gave them 20% of the new combined company for their trouble.
Add HBO to T-Dub and Showtime to Viacom.
NBC Uni has an interest in History Channel, but not control or outright ownership. Oh, and Telemundo is owned by NBC Uni, too.
