Well, they do get the Elimination Chamber and who is in it you ask?

Finlay
Batista
Khali
MVP
Big Daddy V
Undertaker

Okay, let me be the first to say the obvious ... on paper this could be really fucking ugly.

Now, that I got that out of the way I really only have a problem with one of the entrants.

Batista ad Taker are locks. No problems there, and I expect both to do well in this type of match. Taker should be great as he always ups his game in a cage or cell.

It's not Finlay even though he has been booked as a midget loving idiot the last month or two. He's still Finlay, but the guy is acting way out of character because of his Hornswaggle love. He's risked his neck at every turn for the guy and even cost himself his Rumble spot for him ... that's not Finlay.

I'm also fine with MVP. He still gets next to no crowd reaction and has looked more like a second stringer against old man Flair, but you gotta put a rising star in there.

I'm even fine with Big Daddy V. That's right I said Big Daddy V. He's been booked solid, has done his fair share in the ring and at his age maybe even wrestling the best he ever has in his career. It's kind of amazing he has gone from pajama wearing fat guy to prison ass rape watch out for him fat guy.

Khali, is the problem. He adds no value to the match. It already has three big guys Taker, Batista and V. His last major feud was against a midget and although I don't hate Khali as much as most people you can't have him in V in the same match. It's redundant.

The only way this match makes sense is if it is 1987, Hulk Hogan takes the spot of Batista and tapes up his ribs from a months worth of Avalanches. Even then the match still isn't any good, but at least it makes more sense. Unfortunatly, this isn't '87, Batista isn't Hogan even if he tapes up his ribs and this six man pairing makes no sense.

Who is going to play the part of pinball bouncing off everything? This is where you need to have a guy like Rey, CM Punk or Jeff Hardy. What's the point of all the big guys if there is no one to throw around and make them look big. This isn't the role for MVP to be playing, he's a he's the heel coward not brave little guy. Who is going to do the 'Holy Shit' spots?

So, while this match has the makings of disaster it could be fixed with one tweak of the card.

It's definitely lacking in the big bumptakers, but they are well aware of Daddy & Khali's limitations. Khali will last 5 minutes max before he probably taps out to Taker, and Daddy will probably be the last entrant. Everyone else in the Chamber is good-to-great, and if at least the final three are composed of the good workers, then I think it'll overall be a pretty good match. Raw is going to completely blow it out of the water, though.

Good analysis. Perhaps Matt Hardy can find a way to steal someone's spot, if he's fighting fit.

This feels like one of those we've-not-had-one-of-those-for-a-while-so-let's-have-one matches.

My guess, and hope, is that Big Daddy V is one of the first guys in the match, and gets eliminated in the first few minutes to get him out of the way. Then save Kahli for the end, and have the remaining guys gang up on him to get rid of him in a hurry. Or vice versa. That way, neither guy stinks up the match in between.

I still can't believe they are doing 2 Elimination chamber matches on the same PPV. Is that the best they could come up with? I hate to say it, but this seems like something TNA would do.

I was actually thinking/hoping they will somehow turn it into 1 chamber match. Have 3 from each brand. Maybe even come up with some crazy reason to do 'qualifier matches first'
I dunno..it would be a lot more interesting to see I think.
More surprising and such..

Hell, wait until they announce the ECW Elimination Chamber with CM Punk, Miz, John Morrison, Kane, Shelton Benjamin and Elijah Burke. (joke!)

I'd almost bet the farm on Finlay/MVP starting the fight for the opening five-minute period. I'm eager to see what crazy brawling stuff Finlay can come up with in a match like this. There Will Be Blood.

Oh, jeez. I'm behind on my TV watching, as usual, so didn't know this til I saw the thread. I have tickets for No Way Out. I was good with the Raw elimination chamber match. But a second one as well?? With this ever-so sprightly group? Including Big Daddy V? (Does Viscera even *fit* into a pod?!? Or is it foregone that he has to start, for that very reason?) I'd really very much rather see Big Bad's (joke!) suggestion!!

(Does the fact that I actually have tickets allow me in on any sort of match recall election???)

The SD elimination chamber is much weaker than the Raw. Of the six SD wrestlers only UT and Bats have any chance of winning. Maybe Finley or MVP if it wasn't for a WM title shot. V and Khali suck. I mean I know HHH will win on the Raw side but I can hope that Hardy or HBK might win.
So UT will win this then what does Batista do? I don't watch SD much (damn direct TV removed it here) so who else will he feud with? Every other important SD wrestler seems busy.

But I could see a scenario where MVP wins the title shot and loses it to one of the other guys thanks to interference by Matt Hardy, re-establishing their WM match, too....

Plus, if the rumors of Flair facing HBK at WM are true, it really leaves Batista with nothing to do. I say, turn him heel, and match him up with Rey, who also has nothing to do. They have quite a history together, and Dave even mentioned them being good friends again Friday night.

Was this before or after Batista's 17-minute breather on the outside of the ring?

I say remove V, Khali and the Animal and replace with Sheldon, Morrison, and Miz. WAY better match.

I guess before, since Batista was on the outside selling the Spike.

If nothing else, Batista could always be in the MITB match. Logically speaking, that match should have main eventers in it (not just midcarders) since the prize is so valuable. A MITB of Batista, Rey, Hardy, Kennedy, Morrison, Umaga, Burke and Chavo would be pretty sweet.

Could also be Dave vs. Big Show. MITB should have another loaded field like last year's -- I fear Rey's knees in a crazy ladder match but if they put the right guys in it, it should be a spectacular match as per usual. Assuming Flair/Michaels does happen, maybe Kennedy will be in the match and they'll just do last year's plans for him winning.

That's a better "match" than Smackdown! has to offer. Replace V and Khali with Punk, Burke, Morrison, or Shelton and the SD! EC becomes good, but maybe WWE is afraid it might outshine RAW.

What are the chances that they go back to the *original* original plan, i.e., making Flair the centerpiece of a Career-Threatening MitB match? The prizes are the title shot and ending Flair's career. The potential career-enders include the selfish guys (MVP, Kennedy) and the "respect" guys (HBK, Batista).

    I agree with this guy.

I don't know......is the EC better with one giant (Taker) or two, even if one of those two is Big Boobie V or the Punjabi Nightmare? Khali can be carried with the right people, and if you yank Boobie and stick Punk, Burke or Morrison in there, along with Porter and (to a point) Batista, he can't stink up the place too badly.

And I really don't wanna see Morrison anywhere near the WHC, even if it's just to, say, be the first guy in and eat a chokeslam in 5 min. to be the first guy out in this match. Burke is a different story. As a matter of fact, what happened to Burke? He was Punk's first challenger after he finally got the ECW title, then it's like he vanished off the face of the earth. Who'd he piss off?

I'm Charlie Owens, good night, and good luck.
