+ The Miz vs. C.M. Punk John Morrison provides commentary, and he's not bad at selling his team or himself. The Miz, shockingly, carries this 15-minute match, and I am continually stunned at what a solid midcard heel he's become. He also tosses in a Mr. Perfect back flip when Punk works the knee. Then he times the corner-knee sequence beautifully by standing up right as Punk lunges at him. G2S ends it. The Miz did good. Again.
Chavo and Kane sign their contracts in the ring, but Chavo introduces a new unnamed enforcer who looks a lot like a slimmed down Roadkill. The Edgeheads help clobber Kane, and Chavo frogsplashes him through the table.
+ Elijah Burke vs. Nunzio It's a squash. Burke delivers a nice release German, and Nunzio is too dazed to stand up for the Elijah Express. Burke helps him up and finishes with the STO instead. Burke uses the Chocolate Mousse midway through.
+ Kofi Kingston vs. Domino Another squash. The highlight here is when Kofi hits a top-rope Broncobuster. His spinning front kick is now called Trouble in Paradise, and it leads to the pin.
+ Colin Delany vs. Tommy Dreamer If Dreamer loses, he's fired. If Colin wins, he gets a contract. It's a game match despite Dreamer almost doubling Delany in weight. Colin hits a slingshot dropkick and a dive to the outside, but Dreamer throws him around before delivering the Tree of Woe dropkick. DDT finishes it. Estrada applauds the finish, and Colin and Tommy remain buddies against the evil GM.
This was in no way a weak installment, and I appreciated a long match to start the show,

I thought it was Roadkill too, but it just COULDN'T have been because Tazz kept saying he didn't recognise him, and surely Tazz would have known it was Roadkill! I mean, he's not an idiot!
(I REALLY thought Domino would end Kofi Kingston's undefeated streak.)

I don't have that kind of confidence in the writing staff. They acted like they had never seen the Chocolate Mousse before, and Mark Henry was just in ECW.

I also tried a Hardcore TV (4/26/1994) yesterday with the intention of writing it up for everybody (Title: TWENTY YEARS TOO LATE) but NOTHING happened for the first twenty minutes!
