I was just checking over at The Futon Critic, and they have a press release from the good people at NBC touting how well the new Thursday night line-up is doing. Click Here for the whole damn thing.
THE GIST: -"Through 20 weeks, "My Name is Earl" is the #1 half-hour comedy and #1 new series of the 2005-06 season in the key demographic of adults 18-49." Earl did 10.6 million viewers (5.0) last week. -The Office has averaged an 89% retention of Earl's lead-in audience since the switch-over to Thursdays. It's also kicking The OC's ass in most ratings categories. The Office did 9.2 million viewers (4.8) last week, retaining 96% of the lead-in.
Makes you wonder what the future holds for Joey (cancellation?) and the NBC Thursday Night line-up.

I remember watching "Soul Train" occasionally as a kid. I was of course enamored by the slick moves, especially when they did the lineup spot. And Don was terrific.
