Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Ugueth Urbina was arrested and held Tuesday pending a formal charge of attempted murder, police said Tuesday. Last month, Urbina and a group of men allegedly attacked five workers with machetes and poured gasoline on them in an attempt to set them on fire. All five were injured, some of them with cuts and one with burns on the back and right arm, police said.

NOW you know why the MLB named Howard as the Rookie of the year. He's tight with Ugueth.
We'll be back right after order has been restored here in the Omni Center.
Relief pitchers coming into a tense situation and pouring gasoline on things is so cliche.
Reading the article, looks more like someone trying to find some free money by accusing a rich person that might afford a settlement. I can't imagine someone in Urbina's position getting personally involved. Unless you want to blame that "hot Latin temper". But remembering what happened to the guy that suggested the the Latin players on the Giants had no plate discipline, I don't think I want to go there - heh.
Must be hard being a national hero, and a target at the same time.

Remember, his mother was "kidnapped" last year, so Ugie might not be associating with the best people in the world. Always knew he was an arsonist though from his Red Sox days. And of course, he used the cutter to set up the gas.
It looks to me like the teams that should get the most all-stars are the Braves, Yankees, and Rangers. The Braves should get A. Jones, Sheffield, Furcal, Smoltz, and Javy Lopez at least. The Yankees should get Posada, Clemens, Mussina, Soriano:
