It's a Dave Chappelle sighting! He popped up by surprise again at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles and, once again, broke his own standup record at a mind-numbing 6 hours and 12 minutes!
The 34-year-old comedian topped his record of six hours and seven minutes, set in mid-April, by taking to the stage Sunday and telling jokes for six hours and 12 minutes.
"Dave was determined to keep his record because he recently heard that Dane Cook was planning on trying to break (his) record," club owner Jamie Masada said Monday.
Thank God, because I think people would have jumped through the Laugh Factory windows if they had to sit through a 6+ hour Dane Cook "comedy" routine.
"Wocka Wocka...who wants to hear a funny-ass joke?"
I'm not sure I understand the point of breaking your own record by only 5 minutes. If Dane Cook is really determined to break it, those extra 5 minutes aren't really going to mean much.

He wanted Dane to have to find two or three more acts to rip off.

What would this be, about 20 Burger King 'jokes' and then him telling stories about screwing Jessica Simpson on the set of EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH.

And five and a half hours of laughing at his own jokes.

And I actually LIKE Dane Cook. :)
To me, Dane Cook is one of those guys where you like him the first time you see him, then you cant figure out why you liked him when you see him again.
I assume Dave Chappelle will respond in kind soon enough. If you're in the L.A. area and happen to be at the Laugh Factory on a Sunday night, I wouldn't be shocked to see another "surprise" appearance. Be sure to bring your sleeping bag.

Sleeping Bag? That's crazy talk. Dave Chappelle is one of the few guy I could never get tired of listening to. I'm tempted to go cause I know he won't let that loser Dane Cook beat him.
