Marvel's First Netflix Show, is really dam good. Love the acting and the tone reminds me more of CW's Arrow then Marvel's own Agents of Shield. Kingpin's background while different then what I remember works. All the nods to the rest of the Marvel CU tied in perfectly and didn't feel shoe horned in. I liked how he didn't start out as Daredevil and evolved over the 13 episodes.
Dont say its not worth it, when you can sleep with no fear, that kind of time is worth any thing.- FFX
Yeah, I am hooked too. Just two episodes, but Foggy is right for sure and Hell's Kitchen seems dark enough. I am anxious to see if DD comes up with the sticks or wands he uses as weapons in the comics full the time. I thought he was going to use that Taser wand he used in Ep1 and adapt it, but not yet.
very good so far
We'll be back right after order has been restored here in the Omni Center.
That the universe was formed by a fortuitous concourse of atoms, I will no more believe than that the accidental jumbling of the alphabet would fall into a most ingenious treatise of philosophy - Swift
I'm five episodes in ad think it's good. Every actor seems good. The last scene of episode two was the most bad ass fight scene I've seen since the original Matrix. And I think I liked it more because it was one shot and no CGI. If it wasn't, it sure felt like it. Great show....every character feels complex.
Anyone else have an issue with the actor that plays Wilson Fisk's delivery? He talks like he has a soar throat all the time, get the Kingpin a lozenge!
Damn, does DD take a beating, this isn't a spoiler because it happens every episode (expect maybe the first one). One of the characters suggests he gets some body armor, I agree! That same character is told his name is Mike which is a nice addition for fans of DD going back to the 60s (my grandma saved all of my dad's old comic books!)
What a great show. I'm at ep10 already, it's so addicting. I knew Daredevil would be gritty, but I never expected so much gore/violence for a Disney owned Marvel property. Bones coming out of limbs, head shots, impalement. And the main character doesn't even kill! Even the language is edgy. I got a 4K TV for this show and unfortunately for me, I also had to upgrade my cable internet to at least 25MB. Ugh. It finally runs at 2160p which looks better than 1080p in my opinion so it was worth it.
When Foggy made reference to Elektra by referring to 'that Greek girl' I got a huge grin on my face and thought, "Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit". This is an amazingly great adaptation of the Daredevil story, I'm very excited to see where they go with it after the first season.
When Stan's an idiot and tries to make a point, he really goes all the way with it. The entire scene where Stan was exposed as Steve's bully was pure genius, right down to Francine's sudden collision with Stan and the exchange afterwards.
