I would have to say that it is not the return of Easy E that made CRZ leave. I would have to say....
Stevie Richards vs Tommy Dreamer, Singapore Cane match.
You know why? Well anyone who is ANYONE knows that CRZ's most favorite wrestler is Steve Blackman. The cane symbolizes Blackman. The cane was broken and shattered, and in return, shattered the hopes of Blackman ever returning. See, it can change a man.
The pen is mightier then the sword, and considerably easier to write with.

This actually occurred to me. Did you see the Wienerville third-anniversary feedback? Pathetic! He's repeatedly said it's all about ego. If a site is all about advertising and it doesn't get any, it shuts down. If a site is all about ego and the proprietor's ego doesn't get adequately stroked, ditto.
Well, I for one think you're peachy keen, CRZ. You're the king of recaps, there ain't none higher, and as a sucka MC, I readily refer to you as sire. And the site in general was great, too. Look at all the love now that you're gone! You know people don't offer their sentiments unless threatened! Come baaaaaaaaaaaack! Come baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

Better: Have y'all SEEN the Feedback folders on This Very Forum? I'm looking at the numbers and thinking...uh, NO.
Heck, I posted my new column directly in the feedback forum and only got one response.
I think that's misleading. As a rule, I love each and every one of CRZ's recaps. But for me to post my thoughts every time I read one would a.) become very repetitive and b.) look like shameless ass-kissing. I've talked to him on IM once or twice as well, but I wouldn't want to bother the guy. I'm sure he gets enough posts/IMs/emails from rabid fans trying to be his friend. So let me add a c.) here, and say that I, for one, lay off the heavy praise because I don't want to stalk the poor man.
If that (at times sad) display in the "Good Night" post wasn't proof that some people can't even LIVE without Z, let alone enjoy wrestling without him, than I don't what is. Clearly, Christopher Robin Zimmerman was the Last Good Thing on the 'Net for a lot of people, the humble author of this post included.
Using a key to gouge expletives on another's vehicle is a sign of trust and friendship.
Pretend that I've just quoted thecubsfan, odessasteps, and PalpatineW here, because that's what I intend to do, sorta.
cubsfan - I've enjoyed your writing since I first started reading you on ddtdigest. I've said so in an e-mail to you once, and probably should have more often. Thanks (and thanks to Bill, if he sees this).
odessasteps - we seem to share an enjoyment of Tony! Tony! Tony!, among other things.
PalpatineW - you hit the nail on the head regarding "stalking". I gave some thought to responding to everything that I read, if/when slash came back on line. My concern is that it would seem like too much of a "fanboy", and I don't want that. It would also look like someone trying to pad their post count, and I don't care about that, either. Also, in most instances, what more is there to say than "that was a cool column"?
So, to those contributors to either slashwrestling, or wienerville "That was a cool column. Thanks for the effort, and I look forward to your next appearance."
To the rest of you, if you ever find yourself at Lambeau Field for a Packer game, come look me up (don't look for me at the 2nd and 5th regular season games, it's a long story).
Guruzim - Thanks for running our little playground here.
I say he quit for now cos the product sucks and doing recaps is a bitch and a half, and not really worth sitting through shite product when no one is watching. Think about this: Nitro's second to last show (which featured the epic Ric Flair kissing a donkey's ass angle) did a 2.4 overnight. Smackdown was at 3.1 not two/three weeks ago. Wrestling is dying in its current state, and nothing is changing to bring that back, unless the NWA somehow gets really big (ie, finagles Austin), or the WWe does something original and creative, which Bischoff is not. And neither is Bitchwhore, either.
"I'm bi a lot of things, but lingual's not one of them."
(don't look for me at the 2nd and 5th regular season games, it's a long story).
House arrest is a bitch, ain't it?
I left myself open for that one.
Long ago, the Packers played 3 games in Milwaukee, 5 in GB. When all the games were moved to GB, the Milwaukee ticket-holders were granted 2 games. They get the 2nd and 5th games each year.
From the desk of Swordsman Yen In a tribute to the apparently fallen Slashwrestling...
Top Ten Reasons Why CRZ Shut Down Slashwrestling:
10. Decided to quit while he's on top, like that Michael Jordan guy. 9. Hated having to recap Ally McBeal everytime he set the VCR to the wrong channel. 8. Too busy handing out flyers that read "Have you seen this man?" with Steve Blackman's picture on it. 7. Frustrated from never being able to win that damn Randomly Selected Wiener of the Day. 6. Could stomach seeing Vince McMahon's ass on TV, but not Eric Bischoff's face. 5. Looking for a Spanish dictionary to find out what a "chapete" is. 4. Went on a quest to score Sacramento Kings 2003 NBA Finals tickets. 3. Finds himself saying "What?" all the time these days...not because of Austin but because of going deaf from Stephanie's shrieking. 2. Will never again be able to say "Kevin Nash...IS WALKING!" without bursting into uncontrollable laughter.
And the number one reason why CRZ is shutting down Slashwrestling...
"Who was the Blue Blazer?" "It was a black man!" "NO, it WASN'T Steve Blackman!" "I KNOW, it was a BLACK man!" "He didn't look anything LIKE Steve Blackman!"
