We'll be back right after order has been restored here in the Omni Center.
That the universe was formed by a fortuitous concourse of atoms, I will no more believe than that the accidental jumbling of the alphabet would fall into a most ingenious treatise of philosophy - Swift
I take what Craig says in Variety at face value. I think he would have liked to have been ASKED, but he didn't really want it. (I think I said this in the Letterman thread - I'll go check later)
I also feel confident CBS will screw up selecting a successor in the timeslot which will drive me to Seth Meyers.
Yeah, if you're familiar with Craig's history and personality, he isn't the type of guy to do the Same Thing His Entire Life. He's led a way more diverse life, with a more diverse career, than any of his competition and it doesn't surprise me at all that he's burnt out on it and wants to try other things. Love the guy but I haven't sadly been awake to see him, Geoff, lesbian row, et al in ages...
I watch Craig Ferguson regularly, like anytime he has a female guest on. His way of charming women should be studied as a college course. It's amazing how comfortable he makes new actresses and rather subdued women start batting their eyes and flirt with him, Craig is a master of the dying art of seduction. It's really interesting to see him just have an entire interview that has nothing to do with what the actress is getting paid to promote, and instead gets the women to open up in ways that had no intention of doing on his show. Or seeing a guy in his 50's have to pull back the charming because he gets the female guest a little too into him. It's quite a contrast from Conan's nerd fumbling, Leno's predator creepiness, and Letterman's oftentimes curt dismissive behavior when a actress doesn't play up to his standard.
God I'm gonna miss Secretariat, Geoff, and that Late Night Douche. Whoever follows is gonna be terrible.
Nous ne nous pouvons pas sortir. Been watching him since his tryout days, since he was my favorite Conan guest, and was circulating mp3s of his "monologues" to my friends. 10 minutes of fresh stand up, twenty times a month? Who can do that?
He only got better with Geoff and like Colbert he'd turned into a TV institution that I checked in on now and then. Now I have to watch them both religiously knowing that come the end of the year there will never be something like either of their shows again.

The man had Billie Piper interviewing him by the end of things and Scarlett Johansson begging to continue the interview/bump the next guest.
And we're not even getting into the effect he has on the Internet's Beloved Veronica Mars™.
Norm could easily fall into Chevy Chase territory. I would expect Ms. Handler will be made an offer if she declines, I am thinking then they will go with Norm.
Thread ahead: New DVD/Blu-ray/digital titles for the week of 5/6/2014 (345?) Next thread: Game of Thrones 4x5 "First of his Name" Previous thread: RIP Bob Hoskins (1942-2014)
Seconded. However, I'll go so far to say Gary Coleman could do the job okay as Spike if Jett were good (yes, I am stretching that a bit, but the point is Jett is key).
