If they fair catch it, it's 2, 3 seconds on the clock. I'm not sure (Heisman-winner) Jason White can launch it that far ... plus, I wouldn't have put it past LSU to run some kind of delayed blitz again to kill that one.
Congrats to LSU. Thankfully, we won't have to answer the question, "How can you lose your conference championship and get the national championship?"
And yes, a LSU/USC game next week would be awesome.
Jim Ross is going to be in a surly mood tomorrow. Undefeated the entire season until the last two games... Can someone make J.R cry on Raw.
I must pat myself on the back, I got on the LSU bandwagon months ago, and stated they have an excellent and underrated team when they were listed at the bottom of the 10 ten list on Polls earlier in the season... LSU won the BCS and USC won both polls. So there's still debate.

there we go, a national champion actually worth it, however there will still be moaning from hollywood...like someone in yesterday's papers said, hey, the BCS was formed because the pollsters couldn't agree in the first place.
Good job, LSU, you won the Computer Championship. (Remember, you can't spell BCS without BS.) Meanwhile, USC has the Human Championship. Which of these would be the world title and which the WWE title, I wouldn't know...although for once, Clinton Portis has neither. :-)
3 words: TITLE UNIFICATION MATCH...er, GAME. Somebody puh-leeze make this happen!
Star wipe, and...we're out. Thrillin' ain't easy.

Well I don't know about fair catching it and launching it down the field, but they should've atleast returned it and tried to score that way, maybe even try some laterals and stuff. I know they blocked a punt earlier in the game but I think returning the kick for a touchdown would've been more likely to happen then to block the punt, recover it, and run it for the touchdown.
But man that LSU defense was imppressive, I don't know what the final numbers were but at one point LSU's defense had something like 11 hits on Jason White with 5 sacks and 2 interceptions. Oklahoma's number one offense only had something like 150 yards and if you think about it they never really had a scoring drive at all, one touchdown they got the ball on the two on the blocked punt. On the other TD they got good field position on an interception and a pass interference got them closer to the goal. That was one of the more impressive defensive performances I've seen in any football game. Get that defense coordinator a coaching job.
As a SEC fan I'm very glad SEC won and represented the SEC, and now the SEC is the first conference to win the BCS Championship twice. Woo hoo!
I think OK sent all 11 guys after the punter...kind of a last ditch desparation attempt I guess. LSU is SCARY good and surprisingly young. Mix that in with the number 1 recruiting class coming in and you're looking at a GREAT team next year provided Saban stays around...which I happen to think he will. I imagine they'll be the favorites to win it all again next year.
