I did that "crazy jinx" thing and completely avoided the entire time.
I played War of the Monsters and watched the Special Edition of the Princess Bride instead of football.
And it worked!
I want the Titans to win tonight, but I really don't care.
OBTW, they had "eagles casual day" at work on Friday, since our main office is in Voorhees and everyone wanted to wear their Iggles stuff. Haha.
Boy, I wish I could listen to WIP tomorrow.

I have waited a decade for this time-I have been watching football since I was 10-and now that it has happened...I am nervous heading into next week.
The Bucs killed every demon they could today. They won in very cold weather against a very good team. They beat the Eagles. They won in the Vet. They won a road playoff game. They got to the Super Bowl. Their offense is on track. Now if they could just finally return a kickoff for a TD, something the franchise has enver done...
I would like to take this opportunity to get a big old spoon out and mix myself a big bowl of crow, while apologizing for all the times I mocked Brad Johnson this season. Opie did good, and I hope he can keep the miracle up for one more game.
Since they're no longer in Da Bears division, and since I saw a couple of Mike Alstott's high school football games...what the hell...GO BUCS!
Congrats to the Bucs, and their fans. Enjoy the win, and good luck next week. That was a butt kicking, and I am so glad the refs didn't affect the outcome. Only questionable call was offensive pass interference on Chad lewis, but it really didn't change the outcome. The bucs outplayed, and outcoached the eagles.
We were going crazy gonuts when Ronde picked that ball and brought it to the house. Philly fan on the other hand was in a state of shock.
30,000 people showed up at the airport last night to greet the team. This my friends is most definately a football town. What you know about Stecker and Jurevicious.
"Veterans Stadium is a shithole of a place. My mother can't even come because it's such a shithole. But the demolition crew is on its way. We're going to close it down" -Warren Sapp
Damn. and damn again. Congrats to the Tampa Bay fans. My Eagles didn't help themselves with unimaginitive playcalling, but that's still a damn impressive team ya'll got down there. They did what no one said they could do, and are getting their first trip to the Big Show. Good for them, and good luck against the Raiders.
To cite a familiar Eagles fan refrain, gotta wait till next year...
Power flows to the one who knows how -- desire alone is not enough.

I went ape shit when Barber picked that ball off. My brother is Raider fan, and this is the Super Bowl we wanted. GO BUCS!!!
I'm happy I don't have to listen to that damn Eagles Fight Song until at least this time next year.
Being a non-Eagle fan living in the Philly area, thank you TB for rescuing me from football hell.
Matthew: You would've loved it, David. A week in a foreign country, strange people, strange customs... Dave: Oh, I know what you mean. I've been to Canada.

Enjoy it! I mean, you could be like us lowly Lions fans... I mean, damn, you only had to wait a decade? Lucky bastard! Yeah, I think I am pulling for the Bucs on this one too- now that they are out of the "former central" I guess I can cheer for them and not feel dirty...

Not bipkiss about Jurevicious...but I went to high school with Stecker. Managed him in '93 varsity baseball (go Ashwaubenon Jaguars!)
I was a senior, he a junior. That was also the year he became the Jags' standout running back...he had been #2 behind a kid named Adam Geis, son of Buddy Geis (Lindy Infante's wide-receiver coach with the Pack.) Buddy would later get, and suck at, the offensive coordinator job at Duke. Geis followed him down there for the '93 season, opening up the #1 slot for Stecker. (Geis would later get pummeled at Duke, trying to return a kick vs. Wisconsin in the '95 Hall of Fame bowl, to which my AHS boys in Madison laughed hugely.)
But back to Stecker...nobody thought he was the stud running back that he turned out to be. Went to UW (the REAL UW, the one that wears cardinal and white), then Western Illinois (I think?), did a brief stint with Da Bears (hackPTUI!) before catching on in Tampa.
I remember he and his junior pals ribbed me in front of the whole school during their skit at our Homecoming pep rally. They jobbed to us seniors anyway. :-)
Stecker rules. I hope he returns a kick for a touchdown. That being said...being a bitter Packer fan...feh. Go Raiders.

Bellichek has gotten others under control, but I don't see Corey Dillon being one of those guys. In that division, they are still a playoff team, but not a mortal lock.
