Any other W's making the trip to San Diego this year? (Or are some of you already there?)
I caved at the last minute, so the wife and I will be there Friday and Saturday. (Thanks to AAA, we still managed to secure a nice room at a decent price. Miracle of miracles!) I've only gone once before, but only for one day and didn't really see anything because we spent the whole day waiting for the Serenity panel.
So this year, we'll be trying to absorb the entire show floor. But that doesn't mean we won't take in some panels. We're hoping to get into the Battlestar Galactica, Lost, Veronica Mars, and Spidey 3 presentations.
So, if anyone's going, let me know so we can possibly try to meet up and say hey. And if you're not going, but have gone before, I'd appreciate any tips.
Alas, I won't be there when Mick Foley's there, but I'll muddle through.
This is the first year in a while that neither Lise nor I will be there. We do have a copy of "Gothic Justice 2" coming, though.
Look for their booth. Gothic Justice was one of the absolute worst fan/amateur books I've ever seen. I can't believe they have a booth again.
Early reports are that there was a money mark in attendance with them on preview night and he was getting more and more visibly angry as the night progressed, so check in today. They might be grounded over the weekend
Back from Con. Had a blast. Freakin' exhausted. Blah blah blah. Kinda regret missing the Spidey 3 panel (They showed Venom!), but I was meeting stars of my favorite show at the time, so I'll live.
My celeb encounters:
Ron "The Truth" Killings
Jim Lee
Michael Muhney (Sheriff Lamb on Veronica Mars)
Jason Dohring (Logan Echolls on Veronica Mars)
The rest of my Con pics are here. (Yes, I'm a giant spaz for Veronica Mars.)
Amazing Spider-Man Annual #36 right pissed me off. I don't care about Ben Reilly coming back or not, I was just primo annoyed at what is, to my knowledge, the worst depiction of Boston and Bostonians ever in comics. Spider-Man?! Here?
