What's wrong here, no college football thread two weeks into the season?
I guess not a lot to look at so far, though some fun moments already.
Texas....oh Texas. Coworkers were mocked all day. If the Big 12 was better this year, I'd say right now that Mack Brown is gone. Maybe they pull it together and save him, but it's not likely.
Georgia is pretty good. They looked better than Clemson to me, despite the loss. That running game is awesome. I really think they finally take the SEC. The conference as a whole is down a bit. Bama looks beatable, A&M has a bad defense, Florida...I'll get to them in a moment, and the Bulldogs already beat SC. Sure they could trip up like usual, but I got a feeling this is their year unless LSU can work it's magic again.
Louisville is going undefeated and no one will care when they don't make the title game. That schedule is just pathetic.
Oregon is probably going undefeated too, and making the title game. Granted they always look amazing on offense, but the PAC 12 is down a bit too with USC not having a QB and Stanford looking solid but I'm not sure about them yet.
My team only has one game against who knows what Pitt is at this point, but I'm satisfied so far. Was even more giddy watching Florida vs Miami. Holy cow are those two teams incapable of playing offense. For all the talent Duke Johnson has, it never shows against top 25 teams. He just disappears.
If I had to place an early bet on national title game, like I said I'd probably stick Oregon in there. No one from the Big 12 or Big 10 or AAC. Probably either a one loss SEC team or an undefeated Clemson would make the safest choice.
Good god, Clemson vs Oregon. At least it would be exciting. Probably see Dabo be Dabo though and screw it up.
Tommy Reese is Tommy Reese. The Irish going back to back to BCS games is behind the eight ball. The ACC being 2-0 over the SEC is either anomaly or a trend.
The Wee Baby Sheamus.Twitter: @realjoecarfley its a bit more toned down there. A bit.
