Bears hire Marc Trestman, Montreal Alouettes head coach
Chiefs hire Andy Reid, of course most recently the Eagles' head coach
Browns hire Rob Chudzinski, Panthers offensive coordinator
Chargers hire Mike McCoy, Broncos offensive coordinator
*******
This leaves the Cardinals and Jaguars still looking for new field bosses.
"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." --- Bart Giamatti, on baseball

Bears are lucky to have Trestman. He's a genius with Quarterbacks and one of the calmest football coaches that I have ever seen.
He is a lot like Tony Dungy - very zen and his teams love him.
If anyone can get Cutler to maximize his potential it's Trestman.
I can't believe I'm going from my team playing Trestman twice a year (but at least OOC) to playing him twice and competing with him for the division. I'm hoping it fails, because that benefits both teams, but I'm nervous as hell.

Outside of Harbaugh, most college coaches are terrible, at least on their first go-round, right? I was hoping this wouldn't be the case (Lovie? even Whisenhunt or Gruden???) but I feel like this is the first of many three year cycles for the Eagles as they drift through coaches while cellar-dwelling in the NFC East.

That all depends on what he could do with the defense. The offense works in the NFL (for now), as we've seen with the Patriots. But if the defense continues to be mediocre, as has been the case with Chip Kelly teams...

I think Jimmy Johnson had a slight bit of success after he left college for the pro's. Now, whether Kelly has the personnel to match his system will be interesting. This could be a feast or famine hire, because if the offense struggles playing fast paced, the defense will collapse from being on the field for around 40 minutes a game.
Cardinals hire Bruce Arians over Todd Haley to replace Ken Whisenhunt because they only do Steelers offensive coordinators. AZ can finally solve QB problem in 7 years when Roethlisberger plays his last season there in a fat, gunslinging last stand.

I now have an image in my head of Ben Roethsliberger with a football in one hand and a turkey leg in the other with a huge beard and a massive gut a la Volstagg the Valiant.

So who'd be the other members of the Warriors Three?

Haha. I was picturing an Old West outlaw killed in a hail of sacks in the blazing sun.

Something tells me that Luck going to Indy would be like Aaron Rodgers' initial time in Green Bay: folks were hoping the veteran future-Hall-of-Famer QB would mentor the young'un, then retire in a couple of years and let the new guy take the reins.
