What is the difference between a closed thread and a banished thread? Does it depend on a mod's mood? Does one have more honor/shame than another? Are banished threads extreme bad examples to all, like a head on a stake?
Closed are threads that had some value at some point (if only to prevent that same thread from being repeated a day later) and Banished are those who never had any value to begin with.
Banished threads are the heads on poles outside of the city - they serve as a warning to all who enter that *this* was considered stupid, pointless, offensive, etc.
Only one example really needs to live. The rest can just be deleted.
Willful ignorance of science is not commendable. Refusing to learn the difference between a credible source and a shill is criminally stupid.
Sounds like Don King pontificating on the radio here about the Twin Cities of Milwaukee and St. Paul, which of course, are about 6 hours apart from each other. Oh well, we're used to it :-)
