I shit you not. Booker T went for his scissors kick and just dropped in a tremendous amount of pain. A quick Unprettier later and Christian got the pin.
Booker injured his back bigtime on the Australia tour and went home instead of going to RAW. I guess he's going to have to miss some time. I like that they did it on the house show because it makes them seem a little more important.
Should be interesting if they announce it on tv, or just keep it quiet until Booker can win it back at another upcoming house show (if he can get healthy enough to do it).

If Booker T's as injured as is being reported, they need to keep him OUT of the ring and get him healed.
I get the feeling this may have been the actual finish - if Booker was really hurt, and was supposed to win, why wouldn't Christian have just picked Booker up and rolled him into an inside cradle, which could've been "reversed" by Booker for the pin?
KINDA EDIT: Since Heel fixed his pic, I deleted my post. No sense having it there twice.

Thanks Mike. I thought I changed that before posting. It is fixed now.
And I agree...From what it looked like, yeah, I think this finish WAS planned this way. There was no "X" to tbe back sign and Christian didn't look at all surprised at any time.
The only time WWE has not mentioned title changes is when they'd do numerous switches with the hardcore belt. If they put the I-C title on Christian, it will surely make TV.

Christian's racking up the titles here. Someone have an accurate count?
Cruiserweight once Hardcore once European twice? Tag Team 7 with Edge, 1 with Test, 3 with Jericho? Inetcontinental I think this is his third reign
He just need the big one now.
If he's been champion in the cruiserweight division, which I think he has atleast once, then it would be when the title was still the Light Heavyweight title, and not the current Cruiserweight Title whose lineage is from the WCW. Hardcore Title once European Title just once Tag team, 7 with Edge, 1 with Lance, 1 with Jericho, never with Test 3rd IC Title
So is this the first time there's been a title switch on a house show since Edge won the IC belt from Jeff Jarrett? I should say "major title," since I'm sure there were hardcore title changes back in the day.
If they really planned this, it doesn't look good for Booker -- if he's so injured that they couldn't let him sit out the house show and wait until Raw to do the switch.
"I do have a degree in electrical engineering... from almost 20 years ago. Punchcard systems were just becoming obsolete, we had rotary phones in the dorms, and a modem was still a gizmo the size of a shoebox into which you squooshed the phone receiver itself. In short, we lived like animals.
The instant obsolesence is why I became a writer. The rate of punctuation in a sentence doesn't double every 18 friggin' months, and you never have some 22-year-old looming over your shoulder, shaking his head, saying "dude... you're still using adverbs...?"
I hope they use this as an opportunity to promote `anything can happen when the WWE comes live to YOUR area.' Even if they never do anything remotely like this again.
Do we have any idea how long Booker is out for? Or is this just a temporary injury?
Kain Interview: the first since he's been unmasked!!! Major changes to SummerShow main event!!! All this plus an interview with Kain in the latest Inside The Ropes!!!
Hopefully, this is a sign that they are going to take house shows seriously. Also, the writers of RAW better not get the 'brilliant' idea that since Rosey destroyed Christian on RAW last week, he should go over Christian for the IC Title this week. Can we safely assume right now Booker won't be back until after SummerSlam at the earliest?

I can't remember the last time a title change on a house show mattered on TV. I think it was when HBK and Diesel won the tag titles on a house show before Summerslam '94. I think they should do title changes on house shows again. It can really bring back that unpredictable vibe they always brag about. And it adds value to them too.
It's funny because this is one of my problems with the WWE. They talk and complain of how their house shows are down, well it's because nothing like this happens. As said in this thread, they need to mix things from house shows with things from Raw. Say, at a house show Lance Storm attacks Goldust they could talk about it and further a storyline and give a feeling that something you see at a house show will make it to TV, if just once in a while.

Since the Edge winning the IC Title at a house show but returned the job on PPV the next night, the last time a house show title change actually mattered was in '94, but it was a few days after Survivor Series when Mr. Bob Backlund jobbed the World Title in under 10 seconds to Nash at MSG.

Let's not forget the time in WCW when Psychosis beat Gay Lenny "over the weekend" for the cruiserweight title.
Am I the only one who has a bad feeling they're going to hotshot the title onto someone like Steiner tonight? I can't imagine the Booker/Christian feud was supposed to involve Christian getting another run, which means they probably had a heel in mind as the next champ. Hard to go from Christian to Other Heel with the title now.
I usually avoid Mad TV like the plague, but I'll tune in to see the comedy stylings of the Big Show. As long as he gets exposure throw the WWE machine, I really don't see why he can't land more comedic roles, because he's not too bad.
