Why were the Celtics taking a 24 second violation up 48? They could have won by 50. They opened the door up for the Knicks to hit the half-court shot to prevent the Knicks from scoring their fewest points in the shot clock era(58) and the Celtics from allowing their fewest points in the shot clock era(57). Does Zach Randolph get paid by the dribble? The Knicks were the first team to hold Garnett in single digits in over 5 years. Of course, this might have been the fewest minutes he has played in 5 years. Despite that, due to such a wonderful defensive accomplishment performed by his organization, I'm sure James Dolan will reward Isiah with a 5 year contract extension.
Wow, are the Post and News going to have a field day with this. If I'm Dolan or Isiah, I'm praying that the Yanks or Mets can swing the Johan Santana trade before the afternoon sports shows start, too.

On the other end of that spectrum, if Santana signs with the Red Sox, then New Yorkers have themselves one of the darkest 24-hour periods for one town in sports history.
Man, I would have KILLED for this game to have been at MSG, just for the possibility of seeing the Garden empty at halftime.
And I thought the Lakers had it bad. Yeesh!

Hey you leave us out of this! Especially after we just whooped on Denver by 28 points last night. w00t
Everyone I've talked to about the Celts/Knicks game today said the same thing: Isiah wont make it through next week. But really, was last night really any worse than anything else he's done (or hasnt done)? Or is THIS what finally puts him over the edge?

I like you Kawshen. I think the game spoke for itself and it would just be piling on to pick on you for your Knickerbocker fandom.
I'll echo what pieman said as I won't pile on you, as you seem to be a good guy. I just have some thoughts to share....
Knicks did beat the Bucks tonight. That most likely means Isiah keeps his job for a bit longer. For a non Knick fan like me, this is a good thing. For Knick fans, not so much.
This thought was posted on a Boston message board but I think it's worth repeating. The TNT announcers kept saying during Thursdays game what a great winning tradition the Knicks have. Truth is they have 2 titles in their history. Same number the Rockets have, but you don't hear anyone tout Houston's "winning tradition". I've heard the term "east coast media bias". Truthfully, I think it's more "New York media bias" if anything.

To add to JJD's points, it makes zero sense to say Greg Oden was overhyped before you've seen him play one second of NBA basketball. Also, Jay Williams had lost his starting spot on the (at the time)
