There is no doubt that LeBron will be great but I guarantee that we will be looking back at this draft in a few years and talking about what a steal Carmelo was for Denver. He will be the catalyst for the Nuggets actually being GOOD.
I don't think anyone will fault Cleveland for their pick...but ten years from now (or less)...EVERYONE will be pointing and laughing at Detroit for taking Darko before Carmelo. Anthony will be the rookie of the year next year.
And the Nuggets new baby blue uniforms are bitchin'.
If anyone has the biggest potential for failure, it's Lebron. Of course, he also has the biggest upside.
I fully believe that Darko will win RotY in 2003-04 simply because he's going to be playing for a Detroit team that's going to at least the finals.

Darko won't be the ROY because the Pistons are good. If Cleveland or Denver have significant turnarounds a lot of the reason will be either LeBron or Carmelo. As long as they're having good years, one of them will win.

Good point on Darko being on such a good team. If the Pistons don't come out of the East next year, there is something wrong. I also think that Darko is just not going to be as impressive as his high draft selection might warrant.
Speaking of Carmelo and those bitchin' Nuggets jerseys, does anyone know where to find one for sale? NBA.com has LeBron and Darko jerseys already but I can't find Anthony's jersey anywhere.
Darko is going to a team that already did fairly well. He probably won't be able to have the effect that Lebron has just because Detroit was already a good team. But for all the hype, Lebron has only played in highschool. The NBA is completely differently from highschool basketball and I hope Lebron does not do well. Everyone expects him to be great, but this is the NBA, not highschool. If he does good or bad, the critics will be there to make excuses for him, but when the playoffs roll around, Darko will probably have more of an impact then Lebron.
