that's quite retro. who is the old lady who pops up at the bottom?
We'll be back right after order has been restored here in the Omni Center.
That the universe was formed by a fortuitous concourse of atoms, I will no more believe than that the accidental jumbling of the alphabet would fall into a most ingenious treatise of philosophy - Swift
Non-spoiler review: Its a perfectly enjoyable Marvel movie. It may not be top 5 or top 10, but its not bottom tier either, which is fine. I'll be able to rate it better with repeat viewings, and I have a feeling this will hold up.

I went in expecting Rogue One Ben Mendelsohn and I should have known how he compassionately said farewell to his friend on the autopsy table that that wasn't what we were going to get. I know some people will say Goose stole the movie but for me it was Talos as comedic relief from the time he shows up at the Rambeau house until the get to Mar-Vell's laboratory.
Also, the whole Benning as Mar-Vell and Supreme Intelligence made sense why it was hard to suss out who she was playing previously.
The 90's music hit me like a gut punch because I'm the right age for that. This soundtrack is better than either GotG soundtrack, even if nothing hits quite like Father & Son. I refuse to believe that Kurt Cobain would have allowed any songs to be used in this movie.
Fury was great. Goose was awesome. Talos was awesome, as mentioned. Fun to see young Coulson. Fun to see the Kree (Especially Korath and Ronan) but I was disappointed they killed Minerva so easily.
The twist with the Skrulls being sympathetic was a surprise. Not that the Kree being bad should have shocked me but I'm so used to bad Skrulls from the comics that Talos being sympathetic caught me off guard.
This felt alot like they were trying to set up Carol as the next Captain America by calling back to The First Avenger. Period piece? Check. The tesseract? Check. An argument can be made that she was the First Avenger? Check.
Not sure if I want CM2 to be about her time in space or if it should be about her back and adjusting to Earth (if they continue following the Captain America formula, it will be Earth), but I'm looking forward to the sequel.
WHERE HAS GOOSE BEEN ALL THIS TIME?
I was expecting the credits scene to be her someone fighting some Kree or something when suddenly they all start going to dust and she gets the pager signal. I'm fine with them showing us what is presumably a scene from Endgame.
I enjoyed the movie, although I agree that it doesn’t belong at the top or the bottom of the MCU (I am looking at you Iron Man 3). I also agree that the soundtrack full of 90s music is great. I’m ready for Endgame already.

Where did they find Goose? Just roaming around in that Shield underground place not belonging to anybody? Such a mystery. Maybe a Goose origin story movie will come out before Black Widow gets one.
He was also the General on the DS9 episode "Little Green Men" where Quark and family travel through time against their will and land in Roswell, NM in 1947.
