22 teams in 16 states? They will be in separate divisions and play in a title game in hopes of getting a BCS spot. Sounds good in theory, but in practice it could be a logistical nightmare.

At what point does the idea of "conference" - i.e., a collection of teams with some thing or things in common - become laughable? I think we may have just arrived at that point.
