Just think, a few months from now those 30's will have a negative sign in front of them in terms of wind chill.

I keep hearing that the signs point to a MILD winter this time around, so I can just ease into it and feel the pain NEXT year. ;-)

But does that mean mild as in above 0 or mild as in only 3 Siberian Expresses coming through?

Just hold on to one of those (eventually coming) paychecks so you two can come visit us when it's mind numbingly cold outside.

Catch The Thrill on "Pick of the Week": taped Tuesdays at Planet Magic in Denmark, WI; on the air Sundays @ 1 am on WB-14!

Come real winter, CRZ, those 30-degree days will feel absolutely balmy. Around Titletown, there'll be folks in short-sleeves (or God forbid, shorts) golfing on a rare 40-degree day in the middle of Old Man Winter.

But at least it might improve the Packers' chances at Lambeau. :-) Don't get any wacky "domed stadium" ideas while you're in Minnehaha, there, Our Esteemed DictatOR.

Maybe you'll be seeing the snow we got yesterday. I think the currents go that way from Calgary.

October 18th and I'm in a toque and mitts. That's just wrong.

Except a week in the 70s would ruin the "balmy-ness" of those halcyon trips up in to the 20s when they got back.

Goon, you KNOW it isn't a real Halloween without a foot of snow on the ground.

I remember last Hallowe'en, with the poor kids covering their costumes with winter jackets, while in Toronto, where I had just moved from, they were at 27 degrees Celsius and making fun of me.

Man, you guys must think I'm super weak or something. All I was doing was pointing out the first below-freezing recorded temperature of the season, that's all. I'm NOT complaining about it! I LIKE cold! I PREFER cold! I haven't even unpacked the coats yet!
