It seems like a pretty fair deal for both sides as well, which is good to see. It looks like one of the options down the line willl count pretty heavy against the cap, but the report said that could be changed to a signing bonus that could then be spread out over a couple years cap wise. You never know who the Pats are going to cut (Milloy and Law obviously been the most glaring examples) but I have to believe that they'll do everything in their power to keep Brady around for as long as they can. Which is good news for me, as it means I can hold onto my treasured Brady jersey for as long as possible...
Just goes to show the type of person Brady is. $10 million is more than enough a year for anyone (sans Mike Tyson) to live comfortably on. He know helms a dynasty and is seen as even more of a hero to the fans of New England. I do believe he can do no wrong in their eyes now.
I think you're an asshole. No, no, let me correct that, an immature asshole. Which is fine, except that you're marrying my daughter and I'm afraid that my grandchildren are gonna be little assholes.
I didn't doubt for a moment that the Patriots and Brady would get this done. Good for them. Now if we (the Colts) can finally find a way to climb that mountain this year, it'll be even more significant than it otherwise would've been.
That's what pissed me off about Peyton Manning getting a maximum contract. Sure he deserves it, but it's gonna fuck us up salary-cap wise for awhile. We probably will only get one more year outta Edgerrin James by using the franchise player tag on him, and then what? We can't afford to keep him.
We need to get better defensively, too.
But in any event... good for him, good for the Patriots, and bad for people who want to beat the Patriots... but I'm confident we'll get it done one of these days.

Packer fans from a previous generation knew him as part of a tough Rams squad that the Pack always seemed to bump into in the Western Conference playoffs. Good football player, great guy. RIP Merlin.
