Nice signing by Milwaukee. Should be a very good team if TJ Ford can come back healthy too.
"Since they filmed the football scenes so tightly (quick edits, no wide shots), there's no way to tell where Sandler ranked on the Realistic Athlete Scale (with Reynolds being a 17-out-of-10 and Tim Robbins being a negative-5). My guess is that Sandler was shaky enough that they masked his "abilities" in post-production, a strategy that Bill Parcells should consider with Drew Bledsoe this season"....from Bill Simmons column reviewing the new and original versions of "The Longest Yard".
Because lord knows that as soon as Clippers fans find someone they can get behind, he'll take off for greener pastures. I mean, seriously. Bobby was the most over guy on the entire roster and it should have been a no-brainer that he get re-signed.
Ah, the Los Angeles Clippers: the WCW of the NBA.
And you thought selling Amway was his career lowlight?
Originally posted by ekedolphinNo, if the Clippers were the WCW of the NBA, they'd be overpaying for veterans way past their prime.
The Clippers are more like the ECW of the NBA-- they're unable (or unwilling) to spend money on their stars, so they go to someone else who can. ;)
Can we get the Raiders to take up basketball? Because I'm not seeing any easy comparisons for WCW and NBA teams. Overpaying goes to Dallas, but they're not exactly washed up.

I think it's a little unfair how people blast Isiah about trading the pick for Eddy Curry. Health issues aside, if Curry was in this draft (a 6' 11" foot Centre who can score), he would EASILY go first overall.
