I know this is a day late, but the Blues let go of coach Mike Kitchen and replaced him with Andy Murray. The thing that puzzles me is why they didn't do this after Saturday's game, giving Coach Murray a practice or two to start installing a new system instead of hiring him less than 24 hours before a back to back set of games. This has been a long time coming and I have a feeling some longtime vets may be next out the door (Tkachuk, Weight, and newer guys like Brewer and maybe Guerin (who has some value now)).
Lisa: Poor predicatble Bart, always picks rock Bart: Good ole rock, nothing beats that
The person that should be let go is named LARRY PLEUA (or however you spell it). Cant sign a decent goalie, poor farm system, poor trades the past few seasons. I am not a blues fan, but the guy has some serious issues when it comes to getting talent.

Well he was able to put together great teams until the restructering. You're right he never could find the right goalie, though Fuhr had some decent years there. He just hasn't been able to adapt to the new system. They spent years throwing away talented younger players for vets and it didn't get a cup but it certainly made them good every year. Now they can't spend that much on vets anymore, and those young guys are tearing up the league for other teams. If only he had seen what was coming perhaps they would still be ok, but yeah it is time for him to go I think too.
The thing that has killed the Blues is the Chris Pronger trade. I don't think you can blame that on Pleau, he was forced to move Pronger with very little notice by a cost cutting owner. If only they could have found a way to move Tkachuck instead...

I'm not sure I agree. Pronger would have taken up a HUGE portion of the salary cap on a team that needed more scoring than anything else. Sure he does help there, but they also have two very good young defenseman. Problem is they keep getting hurt so we don't know how good yet.
My problem with the trade is more what they got in return.
