Well, he is definitely back and in fine form. A year long absence from DC Comics ends as The Joker begins his attack on the Bat Family in the first part of the "Death of The Family" crossover event. And it's damn good Joker. (backofthehead.com) SPOILERS

I'm not an active follower of the Batman books, but the hype about this got me to buy #13. I liked it a lot. The build is well done. The tension starts to rise the moment the story starts. Of course we know what it leads up to, but that doesn't make it any less terrifying and sinister.
I liked the back story a lot. It said a lot about the twisted relationship between Joker and Harley, that she'd do what he asked.
I just got it. My $1 an issue subscription seems to be a week behind. Its a $1 an issue, I am not going to bitch. I thought this was very good. I do think the amount of dead people maybe too high to start off a twenty issue arc, but since I am just getting Batman, it might not be too bad. I do think when its all said and done, I think Joker may go too far.
The Wee Baby Sheamus.Twitter: @realjoecarfley its a bit more toned down there. A bit.

Both the Batman issue and my issue of Batgirl came with die cut Joker covers.
This was such a great interpretation of Joker. The scene with Joker picking off cops one-by-one was one of the most intense scenes I've read in a long time.

And Joker saying he's been under Gordon's bed while he's sleeping and having pretty good proof he isn't joking.
I'm not sure what it is, but I'm not quite blown away by Death of the Family yet. In part because expectations were so high, but also I think because Snyder's Joker is very heavily influenced by Batman: The Animated Series and it feels a little weird. To me. Probably only to me. I did really like what Joker did to Alfred and Gordon, and I especially liked Greg Capullo's panel of Bruce Wayne's stereo that resembles Joker's face (why did Bruce go to Best Buy and pick that up?)
By contrast, I thought the final page of Batgirl #14 with Joker was the LOL Batshit crazy hilarious moment of the month. I loved it.
The less said about Joker's visit to Catwoman #14, the better.

If you wanted Infinite Crisis to end with a bang, you've got it! This was a HUGE issue that saw a lot of destruction and so much death that I couldn't keep track of it all! The big moments?
