"Velvet-voiced R&B crooner Barry White, renowned for his lush baritone and carnal lyrics that oozed sex appeal on songs such as "Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Babe," died Friday morning, his manager said."

I just saw that too on Yahoo. Damn. To me, Barry has always been THE man and THE mack. When he sings a love song, it can't get any better. He truly was one of the best R&B singers and it's sad to see him go.

Sad to see him go. With all the people dying lately, it brings one thought to mind: Bob Hope is really starting to outlive alot of people.

If Vince would just hire Dick Dastardly and Muttly and tell them to Catch the Pigeon, it would draw at least an 8 rating.

I didn't even know he was sick.

cause there's limits to our liberties.
'Least I hope and pray that there are,
cause those liberal freaks go too far.

I'll crush all opposition to me
And I'll make Ted Kennedy pay
If he fights back, I'll say that he's gay

I cranked "You're the First, the Last, My Everything" in my car on the way to the train this morning - nobody sang like Barry......

Gonna miss the man

I agree with your #1 completely. This weekend we saw Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Broken Social Scene (with the lead singer from Stars), and Belle and Sebastian play in Maryland. Really, really good stuff all around.
